They run the tour even in cloudy weather

The forecast for Northern Lights was poor, and it was cloudy and drizzling, but we went anyway. And guess what .... no Northern Lights to be seen. This tour should NEVER have gone, but if they cancel it, you would get your money back. Buy if you go, and don't see any Northern Lights, you get a free retry. But, if you're only here for one day, you lose. Very disappointed in how they run their business. They offer you a refund only if THEY cancel the tour, but they would probably never cancel, because, we "might" see them if we drive around for a couple of hours.

Dear Ron, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that you did not get to see the Northern Lights during your evening with us. We understand how disappointing that can be, especially when your time in Iceland is limited. We would like to clarify that we do not operate tours randomly or without careful consideration. We have been guiding Northern Lights tours since 2005, and every evening we review the latest aurora activity and weather forecasts before making a decision. On the evening of your tour, the aurora forecast showed good activity and the cloud forecast gave us a reasonable opportunity to find clear areas. Several other local operators also decided to go out. Unfortunately, the weather conditions changed, and the clouds remained in the areas we visited. This is one of the challenges of chasing a natural phenomenon. We always do our best to give our guests the highest possible chance of seeing the lights, but nobody can control nature or guarantee an Aurora sighting. If we cancel a tour, it is because conditions give us very little or no chance. If we go ahead, it is because we believe there is still a realistic opportunity. We are sorry that your evening was not successful, but we stand behind the decision made based on the information available at the time.
