"Takoyaki" is a traditional food that originated in Osaka. It is cooked in a special takoyaki machine and eaten with a toothpick. Many tourists who visit Osaka buy takoyaki at stores, but locals often make them at home. They gather with family and friends and spend a fun time cooking and eating takoyaki together. The filling doesn't have to be octopus! You can add your favorite fillings, such as cheese or crab sticks. During this experience, you can also enjoy Ramune, a traditional Japanese carbonated drink, with your takoyaki. We hope you will experience the joy of making and eating "takoyaki," the pride of Osaka, together in the region where it originated.

In this class, under the guidance of an instructor, participants learn about ingredients and cooking methods while actually cooking together. The kitchen studio is a renovated 90 year old house where you can enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. The instructor is a local who grew up eating Japanese home cooking every day. She is a certified dietary education instructor and has over 5 years of experience teaching cooking classes at home and at school. Please tell us on booking if you have any food allergies or restrictions. We will try our best to accommodate. Shared class and Private class are available. Experience hand-made udon at a Michelin-listed restaurant. You'll get detailed guidance to recreate Udon at home, along with a recipe after the class. If you wish, you can enjoy making udon while sipping Japanese sake or beer. Our chef will cook your noodles and serve them with special broth which is made from all-natural, additive-free ingredients, using kombu, shiitake mushrooms, and katsuobushi (Bonito stock) in beautiful bowls. You can also order side dishes, like tempura or extra udon (they are not included in the fee). Vegetarians are welcome. Let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions. My goal is to share easy-to-follow cooking methods. While I may not be very fluent in English, a translator will be present during the workshop to assist.
