Great tour, if you are with the same activity level as others!

The park is very beautiful and we were able to see a couple of very nice waterfalls. Our guide, Pedro, was really a great guy. Our picnic lunch was very nice. The unfortunate part was that we were four family members that hike often and we were put with two very elderly, not very mobile people. The guide did a great job trying to manage this situation, but we felt we missed out on some things.

Incredible experience!

An absolutely amazing, relaxed day with Miguel our tour guide! Kayaking, opportunity to try stand up paddle boarding, swimming in the river and in a beautiful waterfall. Amazing traditional Portuguese lunch and plenty of photo stops. Miguel taught us so much about the history of the area and Portuguese history. A perfect way to experience the national park!

The best of Portugal on tour

It is an excellent full day tour from Porto, that is not to be missed. Carlos from Detours was our guide for the day. He was on time to pick up, full of information about Portugal, Porto and the Geres NP. An extremely enthusiastic guide who was such fun to be with. It is one of the best Day trips I have ever done. Excellent value for money. The choice of restaurant for lunch was also excellent. In fact, it had it all. You need to fairly fit to be able to get to all the view points.

We are a family of 5 who likes outdoor adventure and hiking. This was a great trip to Portugal’s national park. We had a great morning hiking a trail through forests and fields learning about the flora, fauna, and terrain. The afternoon we spent at a couple of waterfalls where we were able to swim in the pools formed in the rock. Our guide Carlos was kind and very informative. We enjoyed hearing about the area and his experiences. We would highly recommend this trip.
