Rouen is a city shaped by history — Joan of Arc, Gothic cathedrals, centuries of war and resilience. This full-day private tour adds another chapter: the beaches and battlefields where World War II turned in favour of the Allies. The D-Day sites are roughly two hours from Rouen. Your driver picks you up directly — at the cruise terminal or your hotel — and takes you through the Normandy countryside to Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer. This is a private tour, so the pace is yours. Linger where it matters. Move on when you're ready. No itinerary forced on you by a group, no bus full of strangers. Your guaranteed return means you never have to worry about making it back to the ship on time. Your driver handles that entirely. Upgrade with a licensed historian guide to unlock the deeper stories — the tactics, the decisions, the human cost — behind each site you visit.

Cherbourg sits at the tip of the Cotentin Peninsula — and Mont-Saint-Michel sits at its base. The drive down the coast takes under two hours, passing through some of the quietest and most beautiful countryside in Normandy. This private tour makes that journey easy. Your driver meets you at the cruise terminal, takes you directly to Mont-Saint-Michel, and returns you to the ship before departure — guaranteed. What awaits at the other end is one of the genuine wonders of France. A tidal island fortress, crowned by a Gothic abbey that has stood since the 8th century, surrounded by a bay where the tide arrives faster than almost anywhere else in the world. It is the kind of place that exceeds expectations even when you think you know what to expect. Five hours on the island. Time enough to climb to the abbey, walk the ramparts, explore the medieval village, and simply stand and take in the view across the bay. Add a licensed guide for expert historical commentary throughout your visit.

Rouen and Paris have always been connected — by the Seine, by history, by the flow of people and ideas between Normandy's capital and France's. Today the drive takes just over an hour. This private tour picks you up at the Rouen cruise terminal or your hotel and takes you to Paris for the day. The Eiffel Tower. Notre-Dame, newly restored and more beautiful than before. The Louvre's glass pyramid. The Champs-Élysées stretching toward the Arc de Triomphe. Of all the ports in Normandy, Rouen gives you the shortest road to Paris. This tour makes the most of that advantage — more time in the city, less time in the car, and a guaranteed return to the terminal before your ship departs. Your driver handles the route, the parking, and the pace. You handle the priorities. No group, no fixed schedule, no compromises. Upgrade with a licensed Paris guide for expert commentary and a deeper experience at every stop.

Honfleur is 30 minutes from Le Havre across the Pont de Normandie — one of the great suspension bridges of Europe and a dramatic start to the morning. The ship's excursion will get you there. So will a taxi, eventually. This shuttle gets you there directly, drops you steps from the Vieux Bassin, and picks you up at the same spot when you're ready — for a fraction of the price of the ship's version. Here is the schedule: your driver meets you at the cruise terminal at 9:15 AM. You cross the bridge — stop for a photograph, the view is worth it — and arrive at the old harbour by 9:45. From there, the day is entirely yours. Wander the quayside lined with the tall slate-fronted houses that have defined this skyline for four centuries. Climb to the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Grâce above the town for panoramic views across the Seine estuary. At 1:00 PM your driver is back at the Vieux Bassin. Thirty minutes to the terminal. Your ship hasn't moved.

Two of Normandy's most beautiful places — one wild and dramatic, the other intimate and artistic — combined in a private day from Le Havre, with a glass of Norman cider in between. First, Etretat. The chalk cliffs are among France's most iconic natural landmarks, with spectacular arches and a needle of rock rising from the sea. Walk the cliff path for breathtaking views that inspired Monet, Courbet, and Guy de Maupassant. Then stop at a local Norman producer to taste traditional cider and calvados. Discover the flavours of Normandy, shaped by centuries of craftsmanship and rolling apple orchards. Finally, Honfleur. Its picturesque old harbour, lined with tall slate-fronted houses, is one of northern France's prettiest settings. Wander the cobbled streets, browse the galleries, or enjoy lunch by the waterfront. Your driver will collect you from the Le Havre cruise terminal, take care of all transportation, and ensure a guaranteed return to your ship.

You are already in Normandy. Étretat's spectacular cliffs are just an hour away, with Honfleur and a tasting of authentic Norman cider and calvados along the way. Your private driver collects you from your Deauville hotel for a relaxing day exploring two of Normandy's most iconic destinations, without the stress of driving. First, Étretat. Its dramatic white cliffs, natural arches, and famous sea needle inspired Monet, Courbet, and Maupassant. Walk the cliff paths and admire breathtaking coastal views. Next, stop at a local producer in Normandy's apple country to sample traditional cider, pommeau, and calvados. Continue to Honfleur, one of France's most picturesque harbour towns. Stroll around the Vieux Bassin, admire the slate-fronted houses, browse art galleries, or relax at a waterfront café. This private tour is fully flexible. Your driver handles the route, parking, and timing while you enjoy the day at your own pace before returning to your hotel.

There is nowhere else in the world quite like Mont-Saint-Michel. A medieval abbey rising from a tidal island, surrounded by the largest tidal bay in Europe, connected to the mainland by a causeway that disappears beneath the sea. From Le Havre, it is two and a half hours south — and worth every minute of the drive. Your driver picks you up directly at the cruise terminal and takes you there in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. No group bus, no shared schedule, no strangers. When you arrive, the island is yours to explore at your own pace. Wander the medieval lanes that wind up toward the abbey. Climb the ramparts for views across the bay. Watch the tide move — faster than a horse can gallop, locals say — as it transforms the landscape around you. Want expert commentary throughout the day? Upgrade with a licensed guide who brings the history of the Mount to life from the moment you arrive.

Versailles is three hours from Le Havre. That is a long drive for a shore day — and it is worth it. The Palace of Versailles is not just a building. It is the physical expression of absolute power: 700 rooms, 2,000 acres of formal gardens, a Hall of Mirrors that runs for 73 metres and still stops people in their tracks. Louis XIV built it to remind everyone — guests, courtiers, ambassadors, rivals — exactly who was in charge. This private tour picks you up at the Le Havre cruise terminal and takes you directly to Versailles, giving you five full hours to explore at your own pace. No group, no guide with a flag, no schedule that isn't yours. Your driver returns you to Le Havre in time for our ship — guaranteed. Important: The Palace is closed on Mondays. The gardens remain open. If your ship is in port on a Monday, the gardens alone are still an extraordinary half-day — but check the date before booking.
