We Came, We Cooked, We Ate!

Our pasta-making class with Chef Beatrice was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Como! Beatrice is clearly an expert in the kitchen, but what made the experience even more special was her wonderful energy and enthusiasm as an instructor. Tammy, Kelly, and I had such a great time learning, laughing, and creating our own pasta together. And the best part? Our meal was absolutely delicious! We were all quite proud of what we created. 😊 The three of us agree that this experience was one of our favorite memories from our time in Como. I will definitely be recommending Chef Beatrice's class to friends, and if I ever have the opportunity to join one of her classes again, I certainly will! Thank you, Beatrice, for such a fun, memorable, and delicious experience!

Great way to see the Como lake. Short trip into Switzerland to Lugano via bus - quaint little place and then onto Menaggio via Ferry to Bellagio. Bellagio is very touristy but still good to see. Public ferry back Como. Chiara our tour guide was great. Tour was bilingual English and Spanish. Chiara catered for all. Enjoyable time was had.

Veronica hosted a wonderful cooking class in her home and made us feel extremely welcome from the moment we arrived. She explained each step clearly, making it surprisingly easy to learn how to make fresh pasta and Tiramisu. All the ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the final dishes were exceptional — truly restaurant‑quality. A warm atmosphere, great teaching, and outstanding food. Highly recommend.

Lake Como Wine tasting off the beaten path

Give yourself some time to get there, and find the off path store. Upon arrival, we were greeted in a cute little bistro style wine shop. Definitely had a local vibe with the normal clientele visiting while we were tasting. Our sommelier was very knowledgeable and generous with the pours. We had the cheese and meat plates with the tasting. The peppered beef paired phenomenally with the heaviest of vino tinto. The price point for bottles was not horrible and they offered shipping outside of Italy. A couple did not arrive so we had a little more wine to the four of us - yum ;). The high speed train failed us on the return, but the local train worked. Do not get suckered into a 130 Euro Uber.

Excellent experience! We had trouble getting there with a taxi/uber (not to the fault of the vineyard) and were late but the family was so gracious and understanding. The service was excellent. We enjoyed learning about the process, family and region. The wine was amazing along with the meat, cheese and bread. Great experience!

Great Lake Como area day tour with excellent Guide

We are generally solo travelers, but a little anxious about getting around Lake Como during the peak summer season, so booked a day tour. The tour covered the highlights, visiting Lugano, Bellagio and ferry ride back to Como. Our guide Andrea made for a fantastic day and eased everyone through the crowds. We have only praise for Andrea and the tour. Highly recommended.

Pasta Making Fun!

Highly recommend to anyone looking at doing a pasta making class while traveling in Italy. We had an amazing experience with the “Cook Like a Local in Como” Pasta Making Class! Our hosts and expert chefs Christine and Eliza did a fabulous job taking us through three simple recipes that turned into delicious dishes. We had a group of eight people and it was so much fun to learn about and make the recipes while enjoying an unforgettable beautiful view. Eating everything we made at the end of the experience made for truly memorable experience. Thank you for the wonderful time and for welcoming us into your home.

Amazing Trip on Lake Como! ⛵️

This sailing trip exceeded my expectations! We knew we would be viewing the spectacular beauty of Lake Como, but what I didn’t expect was the history lessen regarding the prominent villas on the shores of the lake! We not only learned who owned them currently or who previously owned them, but how some of them are still owned by the same families over the centuries. We also learned about 2 different villas that were used in films like Star Wars, The Devil Wears Prada and a James Bond Film! We were able to swim as well, which was refreshing due to the heat. We did sit in the shade throughout our trip, so we weren’t in the blistering sun during our ride. There, unfortunately wasn’t enough wind to open the sails, but that really wasn’t an issue. We were served beverages and small bite sandwiches for our trip, but eat prior or bring enough to eat for a 3 hour tour. We were pleased with our skipper Giacamo, from Florence, was amazing and an incredible historian of Lake Como! We highly recommend this trip, and Cristina was also very communicative leading up to our trip. 100% worth every penny we spent!

Good fun, a taste of adventure and beautiful scenery.

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The water can get a little choppy, I thought it all part of the fun - but if you’re a nervous swimmer you might get anxious. However, our guide instilled confidence and the kayaks are very stable. The guide Michael (wrong spelling - sorry!) was informative and humorous but low key enough to allow us to enjoy the natural beauty all around. It was wonderful to see the towering cliffs and cloud wreathed mountains from a different angle. Great bit of exercise too!
