What are people saying about Kotor

My husband and I visited...
My husband and I visited Kotor on our cruise. We had like ted time to visit ( 8 hrs), and wanted to maximize the experience so we decided to do a Viator tour. We were so impressed with our tour guide, Luka, he contacted us the night before to confirm when and where we would meet. We met at the port - Luka was very professional, but very warm and friendly. He gave us an excellent understanding of the history of the old Town, and pointed out the highlights. We then went on to the next part of the tour.. the cable cars.. such a great way to see a picturesque view of the land and sea bellow - breathtaking views! Luka knew just where to take the best photos on the ride up. We had time to walk about the top - 5000 + meters above sea level - a must see if you are in Kotor. Then we went on to Our Lady of the Rock in Perast. It is a short motor boat ride away - great views. Luka recommended a great place to eat as well - Conte … delicious! We then rounded back to Port… but before we did, Luka surprised us with a local cake that is typical of Montenegro - a delicious Kotorska Pašta (a local Kotor custard and puff pastry cream slice), A delicious end to a great day in Montenegro … highly recommend Luka and Viator Tours!

All highlights covered!
Great experience. 3 hours went by fast and you get to see all the highlights. Be careful with the motorboats by the cave. Seems a bit unsafe to swim past all of them coming and going to the cave entrance. Recommend wearing a life jacket that you can be seen better.

Fun boat trip
Fantastic private boat tour! The kids loved swimming in the beautiful area by the private cave. The water was crystal clear, the scenery was breathtaking, and the crew was friendly and welcoming. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Kotor. Highly recommend!

Bus tour
It was a long day, but well worth it. The guode never stopped talking and giving us information about Montenegro, she clearly loves her country.
Shame we couldn't spend longer at some places though. 1hr at the lake is a bit misleading, the coach parked, we had a 20 mins walk to the lake, a 20 mins walk back, leaving 20 mins to swim and dry/change.

Best of The Best
Picked up by our driver / guide Mirko who was so attentive. He was on time, speaks perfect English, has traveled and worked in the US and is from a small Montenegro village. We hit all the sights and went up the serpentine road into a beautiful valley where we had a snack and relaxed. Then we had a choice to make - go one way to a destination where we would climb more than 450 steps or go the opposite directions and see the old Royal City. The city was lovely. Mirko made sure we were comfortable and he let us out several times close to where we would see the attractions and went to park. He is a graduate of the school of travel and tourism and he has a great knowledge of his country’s history. This is a wonderful tour and he is a wealth of knowledge and delightful to speak with. Do it!!

The Best Way to See the Bay of Kotor
We had such a wonderful time on this tour and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Kotor! The catamaran was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of places to relax, whether you wanted to soak up the sun or sit in the shade.
Our guide, Nina, was fantastic. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and an excellent storyteller. We especially loved hearing the history behind Our Lady of the Rocks—it made the visit so much more meaningful.
One of our favorite parts of the day was having three opportunities to swim: after visiting Our Lady of the Rocks, at the Blue Cave, and once more toward the end of the tour. It was the perfect way to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Overall, this was an amazing way to experience the entire Bay of Kotor. We're so glad we chose the full-day tour, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!

Was a great little trip...
Was a great little trip to see 3 of Montenegro's awesome sights! Be aware that you have to swim to get to the Blue Cave. It's not a long distance, but if you're not a very strong swimmer (like me) it may be tiring. I recommend a life jacket. Also, if you're familiar with the Blue Cave in Croatia, this is NOT the same thing. Very blue and very pretty and still worth seeing, but not glowing like the Croatian cave.
The speedboat was very comfortable; the guide and driver were super friendly and accommodating.
Also, 20 minutes may seem a short ammount of time to be at the Our Lady of the Rocks Church, but it is a very small island and church, so I found it to be perfect.
Although you do a drive-by of Perast, you do not stop. I recommend going to visit the town on your own, though!

Wonderful little town!
Only had 7 people in our walking tour. Our guide Dali was very informative and interesting. I did have an issue with the meeting point as it was changed at the last minute, didn't have data on the ship until I got off on land. I was 10 minutes late for the tour but the vendor did contact me and Dali meet me at the pier. Great service! Suggest that the Guide has signage or flag or something to state which vendor they are with, there are so many guides looking for their clients and it's very busy that it's hard to know who's a guide and who isn't. Dali even gave me instructions on how to take the bus to Perast which worked out great, I had lunch there and walked around for a few hours. Dali even text me to see if I made it OK.....again what service!
Thanks Dali for a wonderful tour!

Great day in Kotor
Our tour guide Bojana was magnificent. She had an in-depth knowledge of the city, the culture and the country which we appreciated very much. She gave us insight into both historic and current events. The places we went to in the city and the meal we had were all excellent and very much appreciated. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in the same level of understanding and entertainment we received.

Excellent! Book it!
Our guide and tour was excellent. The hour time is perfect in this quaint and charming city center of Kotor. Apologies for not remembering her name, but her English is excellent and her knowledge and passion for her country shows. Thank you for a wonderful and informative time. Highly recommend!

A very nice excursion....
A very nice excursion. Our guide, Igor, was very good , full of information and quite helpful in helping to skip lines. Another huge advantage of a private tour. We went to Perast and to an elevated photo op location. The traffic on the main (only) road connecting to the port is awful, the only downside of the trip. But Igor kept us entertained. Highly recommend.

Amazing rafting tour!!!
The most amazing tour guide Nadja and best skipper REM. We had an awesome group of people from Australia, America, Ireland, UK, and Europe. Everyone had an amazing time. We were in awe to see the amazing beautiful scenery surrounding the Tara river. We stopped for breakfast and started down to the opening of the river. The skipper had so much fun with us as he made the experience more interesting by stopping to explore the waterfalls in Bosnia. We then stopped for lunch which was very delicious. What an amazing adventure. This is my second year in a row coming on this tour. I definitely enjoyed it even more this year. The day we went it was my fiancés birthday. This is all he wanted to do for his birthday so we booked a trip all the way from the United States just to celebrate his 50th birthday on the Tara river. I recommend this tour to everyone anybody anytime. Awesome experience!!!!
