Istanbul tour 25th September.

Beytullah Conger was very knowledgeable about things on our tour. I even payed $25 us dollars for a scarf, but Beytullah went back to the shop and got my money back for me and he bought a dress with a hood on it, and he paid for it. He went at our pace and never rushed us. He structured the tour with what we wanted to see and do. I would recommend this tour to any body, would suit all ages and level of fitness. Beytullah took us to places where the shade was as it was a very hot day. Thanks Beytullah for being a great tour guide.

An entertaining afternoon with Ali

Spent a great afternoon with Ali. He was very kind to my mom, who is an elder woman with mobility issues. He held up the walking group so that she could catch up and allowed her to wait for the group while we toured the Hagia Sofia. He was able to point out a store that had good spices and jam, and we had enough time to make our purchases there. Lunch was very enjoyable (despite the objections from the Persian participants) and we enjoyed trying some dishes that we had not yet tried. All in all, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone spending a few days in Istanbul.

A day out to the Princess Islands

Travelled to the Princess Islands with our guide Ege on a wet and windy Turkish day. Despite the weather, we had a great day exploring the Island. Provided lunch as was the optional electric bus ride around the island. Our guide ensured we got to see as much of the island as we could given the weather. Another bonus was the neally 2 hour ferry ride each way. Thanks Ege for a great day.

Troy and us

It’s about 4hrs journey to Troy. They picked us at the hotel in the morning. We took a ferry at Çanakkale for 25 minutes and ended up at the site. Our tour guide was Sunday. She was really impressive with the history and facts., We were lucky to have her as our guide. We enjoyed the time thoroughly.

A Nice Way to Experience Both Sides of Istanbul

This was such a great way to see more of Istanbul and experience both the European and Asian sides of the city in one tour. I really enjoyed being able to see so many different areas without having to plan all of the transportation myself. The Bosphorus cruise was one of my favorite parts. It was really relaxing and gave such a beautiful view of the city from the water. I also liked getting to see Istanbul from a completely different perspective after spending so much time exploring it on foot. The tour was well organized, enjoyable, and a really nice way to fit a lot into one day. I would definitely recommend it if you want to see more of Istanbul beyond the main tourist areas and experience both continents.

As a solo traveler I...

As a solo traveler I specifically picked this tour because of the hotel pick up/drop off. My tour guide, Songül met me promptly at 0830 and we drove to our walking tour start point. Booking a private tour allows you greater flexibility to not be rushed. I felt it also allows for a more immersive experience because one can ask questions and not feel that you are holding up a bunch of other people in a small group[ format. Songül is a very good guide. She explained our itinerary, made suggestions and we jointly decided on the route and what I would see. She is an engaging conversationalist . She never tired of the thousands of questions I asked. She explained cultural differences between my home country and hers. The tour says lunch is "on you own" but since it was just the two of us I asked her if she could take me to a restaurant where the "locals go" and not one of the more tourist oriented ones. I had a fantastic lunch made even better with her explaining my food/drink choices as there was no menu. The tour is set out but since it was just the two of us we deviated slightly as i had little interest in one of the stops. We went to two terraces which allowed me to look out over the city. It gave me a perspective on just how big Istanbul really is.Songül is knowledgeable, a great communicator and a pleasure to walk around the city with. I am glade I had the opportunity to meet and engage with Songül. She made Istanbul come alive for me.

An excellent day for a solo Aussie lady

An amazing experience. Comfy air con vehicle from Istanbul to Canakkale followed by a nice relaxed lunch before the tour. Our tour guide, Ibrahim, was incredibly knowledgeable with excellent English and a great sense of humour. We saw a lot of sites and the tour was just the right length of time to get to see important sites and have time for photos etc. My grandfather landed at Anzac Cove as an 18 year old and went on to survive the Western Front and came home at the age of 22. It was very moving for me to see the beach where he would have first put his boots on Turkish sand. I highly recommend this tour and Crowded House Tours for really looking after guests. Awesome day.

A Wonderful Day in Istanbul

We had a great day with our wonderful tour guide. He took us to all the top attractions in Istanbul like the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. He even took us shopping for gifts for our grand children. He was so knowledgeable, and made learning about the culture of the Turkish people enjoyable. We could never have navigated the city on our own and were very lucky to have him as our guide. He was kind, courteous, and personable. Excellent historical tour of Blue Mosque, Sultan’s palace and Grand Bazaar

Turns out it was just me on the tour. It was a wonderful day. My guide tailored the tour since we had some time and I got to see a pottery demonstration and a rug knotting demonstration. I learned about the way the tiles for the Sultan’s palace were made and saw some amazing Turkish carpets. The Blue Mosque is so beautiful and the tour of the Grand Bazaar was great. I really enjoyed and highly recommend this tour.
