Top Hungary Kayaking Tours

Leave Budapest for Nagymaros in the Danube Bend, where a guided forest hike leads to the Julianus Lookout Tower and views over the river and surrounding mountains. After a safety and technique briefing, paddle a sit-on-top kayak or canoe downstream past Visegrad Castle, with a possible stop at a sandy beach for a swim when weather allows. Snacks, equipment, and a drink at a riverside hippie bar round out the day.

Row up the Danube whether you are an experienced or beginner canoer. After brief instruction from your guide, paddle upriver until you arrive at a small island. Rest on the island and learn about the nature and the history of the area from your guide. Return with ease as the current will carry you back downstream.

This is a unique and active way to explore the historical Budapest form the Danube river. You don't have to stand in the crowd but enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful sights along the way. We paddle in a super safe raft boat so the adventure is suitable for all ages and manageable without any paddling background.
