This winery will furnish us with an insight into both traditional and contempory wine-making practices. Finally we will head back down through the Kaiserstuhl vineyards which pepper the graceful terraces of this majestic dormant volcano and to our final winery of the day.

Domaine Faller-Weinbach: The estate hand-harvests grapes from the respected Grand Cru’s of Schlossberg, Mackrain, Altenberg and Furstentum. It is the historical Clos (walled vineyard) dating back to 890 AD of the former Capuchin convent with its gravelly, sandy and granite pebbles that produces the estates critically acclaimed Riesling wines. Domaine Bott-Geyl’s vineyards are located on some of the most unique ancient rocks to be found in the whole region of Alsace.
