Top Alicante Day Trips

A really great experence visting Guadalest and Altea from Alicante. Our pick up/meeting point is Plaza de Toros Alicante, so a super easy and a central location. Guadalest and Altea offer beautiful senery and many places to eat and drink. Ideally I would have liked another 30 minutes or so in Altea, but now we have been we will go again via the tram. Our host was super nice and knew a lot about the area. Highly recommended and actually extremely good value for money.

A delayed start, but still ended up being a great day. Driver was Dimitri and the guide was Ivan. Ivan talked about the places we passed on the journey, we loved the story of how the mountain got a hole in it! In Guadalest he gave us the option of following him for a mini-tour to get us started which we gratefully did. This still left us with an hour and a half to explore by ourselves. At Algar Falls he fully explained what we could do there and gave us tips on where we could go. 2 hours here was plenty of time for a paddle or swim and then get dried again. The journey back was again entertained by Ivan who chose the appropriate moments to narrate a bit more about the history of the region. Back in Alicante for about 5.15pm. The meeting point in Alicante is the bus stop right next to the tram stop by the beach - ignore the pin drop that they send you on a map because this is on the other side of the road. You have the option of joining a Whatsapp group to receive messages and photos. Very well organised and worth it for a lovely day out.

The tour was so informative, interesting and fun. Meeting point was easy to find. Fran was a great tour guide- he shared stories, gave facts, and made the group laugh. He answered questions and backed up the talk with photos. This is the second time I had attended this tour and would go again. The market is fascinating and I learnt a lot about the foods of Spain. There are some sections that some may find tricky to walk if they have mobility issues. Lots of steps and a sloping walk way. Thank you for making my husbands birthday one to remember.
