Great way to get the highlights of this beautiful city from an informed tour guide. They met us at the train station and took care of all of the details, from cabs to tickets to food recommendations. Without this guide, we would have felt overwhelmed by all of the options and may have even skipped this historic and enjoyable city!

Destino Toledo is family owned and operated. Javi was excellent guide, very attentive to what we wanted to do and very focused on our success. He knows his history and he was so nice. Our driver Wilson was outstanding as well. This was a sure 5 STARS.

Everyone in the group loved listening to his stories about Toledo. The town itself is stunning and the architecture is superb. Manuel, our guide was simply incredible. Such knowledge and enthusiasm for his hometown City of Toledo. He was able to tailor the tour according to are interests historical architecture. We felt so good at the conclusion, understanding the history and importance of Toledo in the development of Spain.

This was a fantastic tour. Valle was our tour guide and Javi was our driver. Javi picked us up at our Hotel in Madrid and we met Valle in Toledo. We then drove to some view points in Toledo that were stunning for pictures and history. After that we did a walking tour. Toledo as most towns in Spain are uphill. But not bad. Valle asked what we wanted to see art, cathedral, shopping. We set our schedule with the allotted time. Valle showed us some authentic shops for gifts. Great art work from the 1525, the cathedral was breath taking. She also gave a great restaurant recommendations for authentic food from the region. I would definitely do this tour again. After the day was over we meet Javi at our designated pickup point. We communicated through WhatsApp. And he drove us back to our Hotel in Madrid. We also were able to secure Javi for a personal van to the airport a few days later so our group with all our luggage would be able to fit in one vehicle. This was definitely a 10 out of 10 experience. Highly recommend.

Javi was our guide for the day, and he was excellent. We did a personal tour with him and saw Toledo at our own pace, choosing what we did or did not see based on his recommendations. He did a very detailed and fascinating tour of the cathedral, and we also chose to see El Greco’s master painting, again giving us an exceptionally detailed explanation of the painting. One thing that was extraordinarily helpful was his iPad- he had aerial views of the cathedral, detailed closeups of certain works of art, and maps and pictures of the city. Communication was excellent, and he was so accommodating. Also, he gave several excellent recommendations for lunch spots, and we after our tour was over, my husband and I enjoyed an excellent lunch. Keep in mind that Toledo is very hilly, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a few uphill stints on cobblestone streets. This was a highlight of our trip and we enthusiastically recommend it.

What a fantastic day with two great people! My driver, William, and I had a great conversation as he drove me from Madrid to meet my guide, Sonia, in Toledo. Sonia has a great passion for and knowledge of Toledo. I left my tour feeling happy and very fulfilled with all I had seen, experienced, and gained from my day! Fernando was excellent! He took us around Toledo and made the experience feel really special. We especially appreciated how he guided us through some of the quieter parts of the city—it gave us a much more authentic feel beyond the main tourist spots. Diego was our tour guide. He was born, raised, and currently lives in Toledo. Very knowledgeable about all of the amazing history. Full of good stories and am excellent guide. Our tour started with a short drive around the historical part of the city where we could see some amazing views and get a few pictures. Diego then guided us through the city showing us major landmarks and small hidden quirks you’d never know about otherwise. At one point, we stopped into a signature bakery where he bought us some Mazapan to try. Very good. Our kids are 11 & 12 and Diego did a wonderful job including facts that they in particular found interesting.

I highly recommend this tour! Sonya was an absolute gem and was incredibly knowledgeable about Toledo and it’s history. She met us at the train station and showed us around the city. Easy drive from Madrid to Toledo, our driver Guillermo was friendly and truly bilingual. He share so much knowledge of his beautiful country. Our personal guide Fernando “Nando” was very accommodating and knowledgeable as well. He knew everything about the history of Toledo and let us do some shopping as well. Well worth doing this private tour vs the big buses. It was the highlight of our trip.

Our Toledo tour was wonderfully hosted by Salome. She picked us up in a taxi from the train and we stopped at scenic spots before going to the town center. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the architecture and religious symbolism in the area. She lives in Toledo. We visited one synagogue, a former mosque and the main church and in every location she was was engaging. We stopped for marzipan samples and visited a 6th generation ceramics shop. She even made our lunch reservations for us in town so we could eat before returning to the train. Highly recommend this tour.

Our guide, Javier, was outstanding—warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and deeply passionate about Toledo. This is a family-owned business, and Javier grew up in Toledo, which made the experience feel especially personal. You could truly feel that he wasn’t just guiding us through a city, he was sharing his home with us.
He brought Toledo’s Christian, Jewish, and Muslim history to life with fascinating stories and context that went far beyond a standard walking tour. He also shared thoughtful insights about Spain more broadly, which we really appreciated.
What truly set this experience apart was Javier’s access to hidden gems. At several points, he unlocked doors and led us into places we never would have discovered on our own—it genuinely felt like VIP access. On Christmas Eve, no less, which made the experience even more special.

Toledo is such a cool city - and holds so much of the history of Spain. We had a fantastic day with the king of dad jokes Manuel. Highly recommend!
We took the train from Madrid (super easy) and Manny met us at the station. We saw the Synagogue, the El Greco Masterpoece, the Cathedral and had lunch. When we ran out of steam, Manny pivoted easily and we finished a little earlier than planned.
