The transfer from the cruise port was easy and the transportation comfortable. We were returning from a cruise and the driver was able to accommodate our luggage while we did the tour and then take us to our next destination. The transfer and the driver, Igor, was the best part of this experience even though he spoke no English. Once we arrived in the Venice port we were told by the tour guide that she just found out an hour prior that we would be joining and we had to wait for another group of 80 people. Half hour later we were finally on our way. The tour began on the transfer boat to save time we were told. We received roughly an hour and a half of a walking tour and then we were told that we could have free time and meet back at the port area. Except my family was informed we had to pay to make our way back to our transportation because he was leaving earlier. Luckily Igor had no problem waiting, why this wasn’t communicated with him directly is beyond me. Now it’s time to get back on the boat and our guide has abandoned us to give other tours! We paid roughly 220pp and not only was communication from the touring company to the tour guide company extremely poor but the tour itself was much shorter than the 7 hours! We didn’t gain entrance into anything! We were very disappointed.

1. Thank you for your kind words about our driver, who arrived in Venice 17 minutes earlier than the other groups, while the canal cruise was scheduled to depart on time. We appreciate your patience in waiting for fellow cruisers. In the future, if you prefer not to wait for others, we recommend booking a private tour instead of a shared one.
2. You had to pay for the water taxi back to the parking area because your family was the only one that did not return to the designated meeting point after the free time. The guide did not abandon you—she was leading the main group to the parking area across the canal, as planned.
3. We could have easily left Venice without you, as all our buses had already collected all the guests. However, your guide and driver went above and beyond, searching for you in Venice despite your phone being out of service. Some cruisers can indeed be puzzling...
4. In return for those extra efforts, we received a 1-star review, we hope that you are treated the same by others in the future.
5. This tour includes round trip transfer from Trieste, and the full tour duration was delivered exactly as described in the itinerary.
