Great orientation to the area. We had our second lap jump off location planned until our driver surprised us with HIS hour+ lunch stop..,
Great way to see Nice. Covers a good distance around the town and beyond. The commentary was informative.
Gives you a good layout of the city so you can see places you want to visit. Ran close to schedule time.
Our group was very happy with the Hop on Hop off tour. We thought we had already seen the beautiful highlights of Nice, however the bus took us along the coast past the marina area to small towns and areas that we did know existed. The sights were spectacular we recommend it. The bus drivers made us feel very safe with their driving experience.
I googled where the starting point was and it said theatre de verdure. I put that in as destination for Uber and it took me 60 miles away in Feyance. I messaged the tour operator before we left but received no response.
We enjoyed getting a preview of Nice upon our arrival to the city! The ability to tour Nice , getting on & off the bus, to further determine where we would like to spend additional time was great!
I enjoyed the route especially the port area but wasted a lot of time trying to find the pick up points. Not mapped. So I had to guess
Excellent way to view Nice including Marina and Villefranche-sur-Mer. Hope on and off as much as you would like. Leaves from central location on Promenade.
The pick points are unclear,not on time,the website fails to provide the need information. The audio failed to work and the ones that did work it was hard to hear.
Having been on several of these Hop on hop off bus trips and had a good experience sadly I can only give this one 3 *.. This is due to the poorly signposted stops! It took me and my partner several hours to find one and when we eventually alighted the bus and went round the 'tourist' circuit each stop had no obvious signage indicating it was a Hop on Hop off stop. This, when walking in high heat, was a real problem that could be so easily rectified with good and clear signage which we have always encountered on our many previous trips. I would recommend this trip to others but with the added caveat about the difficult to find stops.
Great tour in general. But would like to have had more time in places. Especially Exe. Felt rushed to get back to bus. But these towns are so beautiful with so much to see and experience, it would have been nice to have more time.
Salvador was a great guide and driver.
Overall I recommend it as you do get to see a lot of places along the French Riviera in one day. Maybe if it had started an hour earlier and went an hour longer. And could have skipped the parfum factory.
It was nice to be picked up at my hotel and returned to the same spot. :)
The tour itself is fine. It’s the absence of warning that the second day of the 2 day ticket I bought was suspended due to the Nice Ironman. Paid for two days but was only able to use it for one day.
Hard to locate pick up points as poor signage. Didn’t feel I got a tour of Nice as the route went back along same way and trip to Villefranche.took up too much of trip
We have been on at least 6 hop on/off busses throughout Europe, as it's a great way to get a feel for a city.
This by far was the worst experience we have had.
First...it was billed as a 90 minute tour...the tour was 45 minutes start to finish.
Second, if got off to see something and you missed getting back on the bus by a minute, you had at least a 45 minute wait for another bus.
I would NOT recommend this tour...it really was a waste of money
It was a lovely ride and highly recommended to see a lot of the area in a short time. Absolutely would do it early in day to have opportunity to hop on and off at different stops.
Open air upstairs or air conditioning in the enclosed lower level. Multiple languages, free headsets. Ticket is good for the whole day.
Waited 2 hours in the area and the bus never came. Walked to the stop before it and the bus was no where to be seen. I never saw the bus. I have been here a few more days and have yet to see these buses anywhere.
We waited by the bus door at the first stop but the driver never opened the door and proceeded to drive off before finally stopping to let us on. He was very rude and cursing under his breath. At the next stop he didn’t stop long enough for anyone to get on or off. We had to ask for him to stop to let us off and he again was incredibly rude and cursing. He also drove too fast for any decent pictures to be taken. Not sure if he was having a bad day or what but definitely the wrong job for him. We only spent ~20 minutes on the bus before deciding to get off because of his behavior and the fact that the audio was nearly illegible. Highly recommend you avoid especially if it is the same driver we had (will attempt to add picture if possible).
Route was good but audio often talked about things you couldn’t see. About an hour between buses was a bit long if you hop off
Great way to see the city. Bus was affordable. Liked that it also had route to Villa Franche Sur Mer
Excellent guided tour of Nice. Comprehensive tour with lots of great info about the city. Well worth a second or third trip. Spectacular views of the city and the bay.
A good way to get an overview of Nice. Villafranche is very pretty. Busses are very clean. Only downside is that stops aren't that easy to identify.

Only one bus! Tracking does not work so you have no idea when the bus will turn up. Everyone gets thrown off at stop one. Not good value for money at all.
This is really what Americans call value for money.
We had a very nice tour with Driton the driver. We were only three people on an afternoon trip five hours. The driver was extremely helpful. Could explain very well. It was very interesting to see Monaco and Monte Carlo and Ville france and Eze. Parfume factory was least exciting when doing a tour. In Nice, do this.
We were waiting for the first bus of the day at the cruise terminal and it was 50 minutes late. Tour itself was nice as were the buses.
Switch from high to low season schedule.
No notice from Viator or provider. Waited 1 hr 45 minutes for first pick-up (huge waste of time). Le Grande tour bus makes everyone get off the bus at stop 1 and makes you wait 1 hr to get back on.
Good experience. We got off at a very good stop to have a great lunch and shopping.

I have been on lots of hop on hop off buses in various countries and this was not good .
Luke others have said the bus stops are not marked so you don’t know you are at the correct place , also not many buses and we waited an hour for one that when it did finally come - station 4 on the map , it was full and we were unable to get on the bus . Once on the bus the journey its self is good but we did not get off as we’re unsure if there would be space to get back on , or find the bus stop . Viator do not give you a map , so I had to go on the main hop on website to find where I thought the bus would be , then even had to ask in a shop that I was on the correct side of the road , which I was not .
This is a very affordable, well organized loop around Nice and the surrounding area. A simple Uber ride to some of the Destinations would cost you more than the price of the day long ticket. I went around one time and enjoyed the commentary and then stopped at the port for lunch and then stopped again for some pictures in old town. I did, however, for the first time ever lose my red bus ticket and despite having the day pass electronic ticket on my phone was advised that I needed to have the piece of paper when I tried to re-board the third time.
