This was by far the most comfortable and cost-effective way to get from port to Rome at 15 euro. We only used it one way. The pickup insructions were easy to follow. The drop off point near the terminal was great for us. Would definitely use this again.

The bus journey was good but the drop place was 7minutes away from the requested drop place -roma termini and we had to walk till there with two big suitcases which was a little tiring for us

Shuttle bus to end of port to catch ride on another bus to Rome. Long walk from shuttle to bus pick up. Quite a wait till the bus is full before leaving. Driver professional and ride uneventful. Would not use this transport method again.

When you disembark your ship go all the way to the end of the cruise terminal (left hand side) and take the transfer bus to Largo. When you arrive in largo there will be a lot of transportation companies there. Look for the booth for SIT (Societa Italiana Transporti), it was on the right near the end and yellow in color. Our bus was parked outside the transportation center so we had to walk about a 1/4 mile.

Missed the tour. Customer service was never accessible. They claim 24/7 accessibility and it's not true. I addition the website is the worst. Will think twice before using them again.

Easy to find once you look outside the gate where the buses are parked. The bus that is needed to get to Rome is parked on the street.

How do I get my money back? I sought clarification on the stops we would make numerous times. No one responded until after the bus had left for Rome. Wasted money on both the bus ticket and the ticket to the Vatican. Immensely dissappointing!!!

If you arrive too late for the scheduled departure, I’m sure you can understand that we can't keep the other passengers waiting for an extended period, especially as they are eager to reach the centre of Rome as soon as possible.
Please note that the ticket is still valid for one year and can be used again for a new date, as well as converted with one of our other services like Fiumicino to Rome or Fiumicino to Civitavecchia

We did not receive specific instructions as to where to meet, other than a general address. Once we were ushered through the port gate, and asked everyone there, we were assured that was the proper location for Viator drivers. It was within our time spot. However, the driver did not wait for us and marked us as no show. We called the company asking where the driver was, it was now three minutes past pick up… this is when we were informed we were marked no show and he left. Upon further discussion with other drivers, we discovered this is not an uncommon occurrence with Viator. Now a battle to get my money back. I have to submit “proof” that we were there such as photos. Who takes photos when they are looking for their driver?! Really ruins my previous good experiences with the company. Especially when we gave grace to one of their drivers for being late!

we would like to clarify that we always leave Civitavecchia a few minutes after the latest scheduled departure time at 09:30 a.m. We have a box office at the port arrivals and additional staff at the bus stop to ensure that all passengers are gathered before departure.
We understand that some customers on board may complain if we wait too long, just as others may feel we should wait longer. We do our best to find the right balance and provide a reliable service for everyone.
If you were running late, you could have contacted us to let us know in advance. While we cannot guarantee that the bus would have been able to wait, we could at least have tried to manage the situation as best as possible.
Thank you for your understanding. By the way your ticket is not lost but still valid one hear and valid also on one of our other shuttle services like Fiumicino airport.

Transportion left 30 minutes in advance of scheduled time and no one to greet us at the pier. Only noticed by chance a booth with a three leter acronym in small print I thought might he connected to the tour company so I enquired if they were affiliated. We would have missed the bus had we not shown early. We also we not escorted to the bus and the schedule was reduced with only one return time.

If you boarded the bus, it means our staff were present and helped you reach the correct departure point, which is located just a short distance away.
The return service follows the same schedule and locations indicated in our product description. Unfortunately, we can only operate the authorized departures, as all seats are pre-booked and managed in advance.

The shuttle didn't even show up! I had reserved 2 people from cit port to Rome for 30 Euro. They didn't show and I had to pay another company 130 US cash!! Very disappointing! We waited 2 hours!!

There is some walking involved. The bus filled up quickly . There was a bit of confusion at the bus area because signage was hard to find.

Comfortable bus ride to two stops. The Vatican and the Coliseum. Then we took a taxi to our hotel. Cheeper than a taxi from the port to the center of Rome.

There was a covered area we could wait out of the rain. Once the bus arrived it was loaded quickly and was a comfortable ride into Rome. Traffic got busy as we approached the city so the overall trip from Civitavecchia cruise terminal to the Roma Termini station was around 2 hours. Exceptionally good value.

Overall excellent. There was a kiosk that provided us with a ticket produced from my Viator receipt. The kind lady gave us all the info as to when and where the bus was picking us up. When the bus arrived, another kind lady checked our ticket. I told her what hotel we were staying at. She explained the bus made 3 stops and looked up our hotel location and then advised us which stop to get off and that the hotel was only a short 2 block walk from there, no need for a cab. The bus driver was courteous and was a good driver. The bus itself was quite comfortable and had wifi. My only suggestion is it would have been nice to see a Viator sign at the kiosk. There was nothing to indicate we should go there. A tour guide on site directed us to it, thankfully.

Positive, quick, comfortable, simple, we got a shuttle from the cruise port to the Cruise Port bus area. Took about 5 min. Then 1.5hours to the city centre. Dropped off near the Roma Termini.

This is the most efficient and low cost way from cruise port to either Vatican or termini. Remember to leave extra time to go through the passport control. The line was long. It took me around 25 mins. After passport control, take the correct free shuttle to the bus station. Donot take the shuttle to the train station. It will take another 10 mins. The bus ride was very comfortable with wifi.
