In the afternoon, meet your guide at your centrally located hotel in Istanbul (European side only) for a private tour of Istanbul’s two continents. Hop in your vehicle and head to Beylerbeyi Palace, the largest Ottoman palace, built in the 19th century by the renowned Armenian architect Sarkis Balyan. Then, admire the opulent architecture as you gaze over the Bosphorus Strait.

Next, leave the palace and drive over the famous Bosphorus Bridge which connects the European and Asian continents. Enjoy jumping from one continent to the other in only two minutes!

Continue into the Asian side and relish a stunning vantage point of the entire city from atop Camlica Hill, the highest place in Istanbul. Snap sweeping panoramic shots that extend over breathtaking Ottoman style gardens. Afterwards, hop back in your vehicle and return to your hotel where your tour ends.

Our guide was very knowledgable and really friendly. So glad we took this tour because it went to some places we hadn't expected or thought of going to. We also got an insight into some places to visit on our next trip to Istanbul. Would highly recommend it.

The actual trip to the Dolmabache palace, harem and over to the Asian side, Camlica hill was very interesting and the palace was certainly filled with "baccarat cystal" at every turn. Unfortunately our guide did not appear to be that interested in telling us "tidbits" of info about what we were seeing and did not seem to be aware that we had people in our party who could not race along and climb stairs easily. He only spoke to those at the front of the group. So while I recommend the tour, I would suggest ensuring your guide is suited to your group and your group's "thirst" for knowledge of what you are seeing.
