The evening begins with being served street food by a local celebrity (I will not spoil the surprise you will need to book the experience), followed by some delicious Turkish delights. The evening concludes with what felt like a family meal at a local Turkish restaurant. The main ingredient was our host Zeynep. From the moment she greeted us she was warm, witty and informative. She had ensured that we were all informed of the itinerary by texting us all on the morning of the tour. She made us feel we were spending a lovely evening with a friend, not a host Well done !!

We had such a wonderful experience on this food tour! It was the perfect way to explore a bit of the European side and the Asian side of Istanbul. We were able to explore neighborhoods while trying some truly delicious Turkish food along the way. From savory bites to sweet treats, every stop was a highlight. Our guide Ali was exceptional. His knowledge of Istanbul’s history and Turkish culture made the whole experience so much richer — he brought real depth and context to everything we tasted and everywhere we walked. Three day tour will give you a great introduction to this massive city and the richness it has to offer. Make sure you register for a trip with optional private transportation between sites. Ozan (Ozzie) our guide couldn’t have done a better job guiding us through the complexity of the city; from restaurants to historical sites and which museum to spend time at with all the details about each place that we visited. He was very knowledgeable and approachable. He catered very much to your speed and what you are trying to get out of the trip and adjusts the itinerary accordingly. Since our group has returners but also first timer Ozzie was able to create something that works for everyone. The private transfer was very much appreciated. In hot weather an A/C minivan is the way to do it. Plus the fact that only locals know how to efficiently maneuver the always congested streets of the city.
