The Vagabond Cruise reservation office is located just behind the Harbour Town Lighthouse. If you have your mobile ticket you are able to go directly to the Spirit of Harbour Town 30-minutes before departure to board which is located on the pier in front of the Lighthouse.

Itinerary
This ferry meeting point is on Lighthouse Road in Hilton Head Island. Once you check in, board the big boat with others and get ready to make your way by water to Savannah, Georgia. When you get on board, choose to sit in the air-conditioned lower cabin or the open-air upper deck. There’s also an onboard bar where you can purchase drinks (own expense).
Cruise the Intracoastal Waterway and take in views before docking in Savannah. Get about four hours to explore the city however you’d like to before it’s time to get back on board for the journey back to Hilton Head Island.

- Cruise in comfort aboard Hilton Head Island’s only air-conditioned and heated passenger vessel. The Spirit features comfortable seating inside the island’s only enclosed cabin as well as out on our covered open-air deck. Enjoy coffee, hot chocolate, or your favorite beverage from our full service snack bar. The Spirit makes 23 knots providing a fast, stable ride without the worries of driving and parking in Savannah’s historic district.
- Please note: There are a set of 10 steps onto the Lower Deck (inside) and an additional 10 steps to get to the Upper Deck (outside) of the boat.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 148 travelers

The ferry views were nice but there was not enough seating for everyone. So had to stay inside of boat. Air conditioning inside was not sufficient in keeping us cool.

It is a great way to get to Savannah from HHI. The crew was very nice and knowledgeable. If it is your first tiime visiting, I would recommend the trolley tour.

It is a ferry, not a tour. I do not like the fact that at the end of the ferry ride we were “asked” for tips. Please, if you can’t afford to pay your staff enough by charging 80$ each plus the $10 Sea Pines gate fee to get to your boat, charge more.

If there was anything to point out along the way, we wouldn’t know because we couldn’t hear a thing over the sounds of the boat engines. Had we known that before we would have sat elsewhere.

The ferry was a fun way to travel to Savannah, I docked right in the heart of town on the river with easy access to shops, restaurant and other places of interest. The ride itself was a bit noisy but comfortable weather sitting inside or out.

Boat ride was okay. Chairs very uncomfortable. Restrooms awful. You Will spend an additional $40 for trolley ticket for historic tour.

Crew on the boat were wonderful and helpful. The trip from Harbor Town to Savannah was pleasant and joyful. Our Olde Town Trolley driver/guide was great. Her name was Red.

It's a beautiful two hour boat ride to the Riverfront at the port of Savannah. They also sell trolley tickets on board and the trolley picks up right at the dock. If walking it's an easy stroll to the squares and Broughton St. Our captain was delightful and personable and greeted everyone who boarded. The boat is a two story cataraman with available drinks and snacks for purchase. We will definitely do this again as no need to worry about parking!

The trip was very good. The captain was knowledgeable of the area and gave us key points along the way and visiting ships, from Hilton Head to Savannah. She was very kind and helped my wife and I while boarding. The crew was nice and helpful. My only complaint was that we did not have enough time ashore. We needed the full 4 hours, but got about 3 1/2 hrs.

It was a great ride and a wonderful way to visit Savannah. The day was beautiful enough to enjoy the exterior of the boat both ways without seeking indoor shelter.
My husband enjoyed the beers on the way back. I enjoyed the sun and wind on my face. Seeing many dolphins was a bonus too. And our picture together was a nice memory to have printed.
