When we arrived at our location we were told our booking had been cancelled, which we did not do. To continue on with our plans we had to purchae tickets again through the venue.

Give yourself time at the top to sit and enjoy the view. Good food options as well and a nice gift shop not at the top and on the main platform. Live music in the evening at the top was great!

When you buy online, you don’t actually get your tickets. You have to line up on arrival to get your actual ticket. Very disappointed ☹️
Regina_A, Aug 2026
Get an early reservation to avoid the crowds. Once you get off the gondola, you can choose to hike to the top of Sulfur Mountain. It takes about 1/2 hour round trip and involves a lot of stairs.

These are not tickets. We had to wait in a long line to exchange these vouchers for a ticket. Unlike the actual tickets, you also do not get to decide the timeframe. We had ask them to adjust our time. Not worth it to book this. Go through the gondola directly.

An amazing experience. A must do in Banff. Sulpher Mountain was fabulous. Seamless e- ticket, easy transfer to and from and exactly what was offered- and more.

Beautiful views. Great perspective of Canadian Rockies. So much beauty at top. Recommend slowly down & having a leisurely beer at their outdoor patio weather permitting!

Prior to boarding, we were able to visit Starbucks and the lovely gift shop.
The amenities included in the Banff Gondola FAR EXCEEDED our expectations. At the top of the gondola is a LARGE, GORGEOUS visitor center with a beautiful restaurant and a fun bar--both offering GREAT views! There are multiple viewing sites, seating, games, refreshments, binoculars, firepits, and maps detailing the surrounding mountains. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!!

1hr and 30mins for a $100 ride and stay on top is a bit greedy. Pursuit, Should give it back to a canadian company.

staff is very friendly. Well worth taking the hike all the way up to the top of Sulphur Mountain when you’re up there. views are fantastic.
Lori_M, Aug 2026
Great experience! You can walk to the top of mount sulphur and the views are incredible. Highly recommend!
Courtney_C, Aug 2026
What an unbelievable experience! The journey to the top is breathtaking, every direction you look is beautiful!
Mela_V, Aug 2026
While I’m glad we did this - a little underwhelming and pricey and very crowded. Beautiful views- ended up eating at Sky Bistro and food was amazing. Not a ton to do but great photo ops and areas to soak in the sights!
Beth_S, Aug 2026
Bus was on time. But very crowded on the way there. Very organized for the ride back to Banff Avenue.

He told me he loved me for the first time on top of the mountain so romantic awwwwwwww he is the best I love Banff gondola and him
Alexander_P, Aug 2026
Very well organized, even on a busy summer Sunday. Gorgeous views up in the mountains. Expensive, but once in a lifetime experience.

Many things to do and see once your on the top side of the lift.
Live music, fire pits, great food, and staff are awesome.

Amazing tour. Quade was our tour guide and Ihe was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable, genuinely considerate and clearly loved guiding all of us. Could not have asked for a better tour! His knowledge of the area, timing of stops and guidance was impressive. Thank you for making this day so memorable.
Greg_M, Aug 2026
It was fantastic even though it was cloudy. We enjoyed all of the things to do up on the mountain. Definitely a must see, the free shuttle was great from the train station.
Anita_S, Aug 2026
Timely and smooth ride. Ride going to the mountain is beautiful and breath taking view. Weather is key. When we went it was foggy and raining, but we enjoyed the experience.
Ines_L, Aug 2026
1 hour is enough unless you want to have a meal. Food not much, but you have the view. We had a partially cloudy day, but it was still worth it. Parking very limited. Probably easier to take cab from hotel.
Deborah_N, Aug 2026
Unfortunately we picked a smoky day but that can’t be helped. What we could see was great. However, we paid more through Viator than if we’d dealt direct. On a previous occasion I booked seaplane fights Vancouver to Victoria through Viator and they were much, much dearer - cancelled and dealt direct and saved $300+.

80 minute time limit at the top was a surprise - we felt rushed to do everything that was available!
Brandi_A, Aug 2026
So many things to do at the top..
beautiful view , got a whisky and drank it with a nice fire and lovely view.
Alistair_G, Aug 2026
Check out weather before going up as poor disability can make it totally poor for views and pictures
Joseph_D, Aug 2026
It was rainy and cloudy. Mountains are zero visibility but it came clear 30 seconds. Lots of fun pictures and videos
Tim_D, Aug 2026
It would have been amazing but the smoke from fires limited our view. The Sky Bistro was also enjoyable
Mehran_E, Aug 2026
75 minutes at each site ... 90 minutes would be more beneficial to possibly do a canoe ride at Lake Louise
susan_H, Aug 2026
Check weather first.it was so foggy and smokey you couldn't see beyond 10 feet in front of you but wonderful design and movie
Amit_S, Aug 2026
Very well organized. Team at site was quick and very cooperative. Had a great time at sulphur mountain and enjoyed every cent of it
