Our tour guide was Michael- he was wonderful! Super funny and very knowledgeable, he made the tour super comfortable and enjoyable for everyone and let us have the perfect amount of time at each stop. We even saw some elk! I’d recommend this to anyone visiting Oregon.

A perfect way to experience the best of Oregon
This was a fantastic tour, combining the beautiful scenery of the Columbia River gorge, walks to multiple waterfalls, a fun lunch stop in the cute town of Hood River, a yummy fruit stand stop and a visit to Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. The amount of time at each stop was perfect and our guide Michael was funny and informative, with interesting facts, stories and even restaurant recs. I’d recommend this to everyone!

David was amazing! The talking part just about right, not too much and sufficient to get to know the places. So we can have some quiet time just to enjoy the view, unlike another tour I had was talking all the way…. I would love to hike up to Mt. Hood next time.

There be falls!
We saw five beautiful waterfalls! Most required short, easy walks on well maintained trails. We had some rain, but the driver/guide provided umbrellas. We wore lite weight hiker shoes. They were better than sneakers because of the wet conditions. Even without the rain the trails are damp so good gripping footwear is best. Loved it! Our driver - guide provided good historical background and some geology. Very interesting and entertaining!

Most of Oregon is a giant outdoor playground, from the Pacific Ocean beaches (100 percent of which are public) to the mountains of the Cascade Range and the high desert in the eastern part of the state. There are Oregon tours that highlight all of these wonders—and more. Even from a base in metropolitan Portland, full-day excursions let you explore the Columbia River Gorge, visit the coast, or hike up the state’s tallest mountain. Between outdoor activities, you can also go wine or beer tasting and sample some of Oregon’s best eats.
