What are people saying about Lucerne

Amazing day in the Swiss Alps
We were staying in Lucerne for a few days and wanted to get out and see some of the smaller mountain towns so we decided to take this tour. Our guide John was very knowledgeable and knew the best scenic areas to see/stop at in each place. He was very personable and went out of his way to make everyone’s day special. We saw several beautiful lakes, experienced the rock formations and running water of the St. Beatus Swiss caves, and spent time in breathtaking Grindelwald, Lauderbrunnen and Iseltwald. We were in a small van with only 8 passengers and were able to do/seen more than on a big bus. Definitely recommend if you get the chance-

The earlier the better.
An amazing way to explore not just the Mountain but transportation options around the city as well. Medium paced experience never feeling rushed or hurried. I wish we would have done it sooner in our visit. I do wish they would have pointed out we needed our visitor card to return by bus on the last leg. One call to the hotel fixed that easily though. The experience varies greatly by quick changes in weather.

Wish for good weather. ...
Wish for good weather. It rained the entire time so visibiliy was poor. Erica our guide did an amazing job talking about the history of the moutain and the cog railroad. She adjusted our time to where we got an hour tour of Lucerne due to the inclimate weather.

We considered doing this...
We considered doing this on our own, but we’re so glad we chose to take this tour instead. It would have been impossible to cover as much ground as efficiently as we did with Kid, our tour guide. He was such a character, took great care of us all day, and had incredible energy. Kid guided us to the best photo spots along the route and knew exactly how to maximize our time between trains and cable cars. He made sure we captured great photos and videos at all the key points, often stepping in to take photos of us. It was refreshing to relax and let someone else handle the logistics. Kid kept everything running smoothly, guiding us seamlessly from one stop to the next. Once we reached Jungfraujoch, he gave clear direction on how to make the most of our time there. Thanks to the efficient transitions, we were able to see everything, enjoy a relaxing lunch, and still stay on schedule for the return journey. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an incredible experience without the stress of planning or worrying about missing connections. It was a fantastic day!

Modernity meets history in Lucerne, Switzerland, a city with a stunning lakeside perch. The city’s centerpiece, the 14th-century Chapel Bridge, is considered Europe’s oldest covered bridge. Lucerne tours let you venture beyond the bridge and help you explore on foot or by boat. Cheese and chocolate tastings are also in the mix. Plus, Lucerne’s mountainside location is convenient for day trips to the Alps.
