What are people saying about Lake Como

Italian Cooking with Friends
Cesarina and Vincenzo were wonderful hosts. Their hospitality was exceptional and it really felt like we shared a meal with friends. My family and I had a wonderful time and learned so much about Italian cooking and pasta making. We returned home with a renewed passion for Italian food and making our own fresh pasta. I highly recommend this experience.

The food and wine...
The food and wine tour at Azienda Agricola Sorsasso with Sylvia and her family was absolutely amazing. It felt like an almost private experience, and Sylvia truly went above and beyond for us.Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. You can really see the care and passion that goes into every step—from harvest to bottling—all done by the family. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend it!

Best trip to Lake Como
This trip is worth every penny. Bus to Lake Como took 1 hour, boat to Bellagio took 2 hours and the scenery was beautiful. Had lunch at La Dolce Vita and looked around shops for 2 hours which was more than long enough, ferry to Menaggio and then bus back to Milan via Switzerland. I expected it to be a very expensive day but it was the opposite - €3 for coffee at Lake Como and €3.50 for 2 scoops of homemade icecream in a waffle cone in Bellagio!! Our guide was Matteus- lovely young chap who’d English was fabulous considering he has only been a tour guide for 3 months. Our coach driver Tony was unbelievable, in and out of tunnels and around the winded roads.

If you don’t want to see...
If you want to see more of Lake Como and Lugano, a city in Switzerland that borders Italy, in one day, this is the right choice. The guide, Adriano, was very patient and knowledgeable. You have a period where you can just explore the area on your own.

Not seeing something you are looking for?

Thanks to its nature, cuisine, and culture, you could easily spend a whole vacation in Lake Como. But the larger lake town of Como also works well as a jumping-off point for forays further afield. Lake Como day trips go from Como to Bellagio and beyond. You can visit a Domaso winery, or see two countries (and two lakes) in one day on a trip to Lugano in Switzerland. Day trips on the Bernina Express to St. Moritz from Como are also popular.
