Great day tour to Lake Como.

This was a great tour. Como town was cute. The lake and lake cruise was very scenic and beautiful. Lugano is a beautiful town on the beautiful lake. Also very scenic. Our guide Chiara was lovely and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour.

Very Disappointing Experience

The tour was very disappointing. Our guide did not actually guide us, she simply dropped us off and left us alone for about an hour at each location. Because of the crowds in Como, all the restaurants were full, so we had no time to eat or enjoy the area properly. There was also no real opportunity to explore. Overall, it felt rushed and unorganised, and definitely not worth the money.

Don't book this tour if you want to know anything about Milan, Lake Como, Bellagio or Lugano. Alex our tour leader today was pleasant but was absolutely useless when came to info about the area. Hoped on the bus, he welcomed us to the tour & said we are going to Como & should be there in a hr. We arrived late. No fault of driver & the only cruise we had on the lake was the 5 min transfer boat for cars. No explanation given. Told to be back in 80 mins & pointed his finger in the town direction saying the cathedral was that way. Then we went to Lugano. Same sort of info was given about the town. Absolutely nothing. I'm sure you will get more comments about this trip from other PAYING passengers saying the same thing. Alex had interest in doing this job today which is a shame. We had just left Paris & done a City tour again with Viator & couldn't fault our tour guide Steve so we are extremely disappointed.

Guide was young and very inexperienced but nice. You will receive few comments on history. Get on the bus. Go through a few streets in Como and see lake for a minute. Then back to bus to Mennagio while listening to to music 1 hr. Wait for public boat to Bellagio (1 hr wait for us). You get about 1 hr to eat and see the area. Not enough time. Private boat to see view from lake (best part of trip and you hear history). Back to bus …1 hr to Lugano. Free time again with no history and barely any comments. Then back to bus and to your destination. Overall felt like a cattle of herd just moved around 🤣

Great way to see Lake Como and get a quick foray into Switzerland. This tour does pack a lot in so its not super relaxed but if you want to see all these areas in one day then this will do it for you. They were also very accommodating and were able to store my luggage in the bus hold during the tour as I was staying in Lugano that night and I simply stayed in Lugano at the end of the trip. Other operators wouldn't do this for me.

One of the top Viator trips. Lugano, Bellagio, and Lake Como are a must just beautiful. Our tour guide. Alessio (Alex) was outstanding his knowledge of the places we visited, and the history and the beauty and the scenery that were explained to us was the best. His coordination of our group so helpful.

Tour guide very nice, but spent most conversation with Spanish speaking tourists. Spoke good English, but left out details given in Spanish & there was no info provided about Italy or Milan, the venues driven by in town nor on the way to Como. Initial boat trip was fine, but vessels were changed & a smaller boat was used on the return trip having customers squeeze together to fit everyone into the boat - not what we paid for. Trip to Lugano was a waste of time considering how long it took to get there & the 30 minutes given for free time along with the extended return trip to Milano.

Beautiful places and you must visit but perhaps find another tour. We spent too much time in lines waiting for the ferry or our bus driver. 1.5 hours in Como and 2 hours in Bellagio, only to find that they gave us 20 minutes in Lugano which was absurd. We couldn’t do or see anything there. The driver drove very rashly through the narrow streets. He obviously knew the roads but it seemed dangerous as he got close to vehicles and was the only one honking his horn. The guide Patricia was a pleasant person but she could have provided more information as we passed towns during the boat ride and road trip. Also the driver would not let us eat anything on the bus. It’s never happened on any tour before. A Long day which could be planned much better.

Have you ever been told to meet somewhere so vague that it was like finding a needle in a haystack? We did ahead of this tour. Ask us to meet near the train station was as specific as it got. Luckily we found someone looking as well. It was a horrible way to start! Next, there we timing issues. Want to stop at this beautiful location? Sure, you have 20 minutes to be back at the meeting spot! Ok, how about it’s time to eat so we’ll get off the ferry but don’t mind that the restaurants are closed for the afternoon. Then, here we are at our last stop, enjoy 40 minutes. I get the scenery was a critical part of this tour but the reality this is 4 hours on a bus, 5 hours on a ferry , and next to no time to enjoy the towns, eat lunch, or take in the culture. On a positive note, our guide was very kind, apologetic, and knowledgeable but she was thrown to the wolves. Unless you want a boat and bus tour I’d suggest this: Take a 40 minute train ride from Milan to Como. Venture out and take in the sights and sounds. If you want to ferry from town to town do it on your own time and dime.

I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone that wants to visit multiple cities in one day! You will capture some of the Best photos and videos in this tour. The luxury Mercedes sprinter was also very comfortable with USB ports to charge your devices. The only thing I wish they had was WiFi!
