Great day out from KL
We really enjoyed this day excursion from Kuala Lumpur- if you have limited time on your trip but want to see the Cameron Highlands, it’s a good way to do it. Definitely a long day but quite peaceful and relaxing to be away from the city. We loved the scenery and visiting the tea plantations and sampling their tea. Overall a great day.

A very early start for hotel pick up 5:40am. Well organised and knowledgeable guide. Felt safe on the drive through picturesque scenery stopping at strawberry farm, flower farm and waterfall in addition to the main tea plantation.

Absolute Delight
The guide was lovely and was understanding when I didn't show up for the pick up on time. The trip was really fun and I didn't feel rushed at any of the stops. I will 1000% recommend this to anyone who wants to do a little tour of some delightful scenery.

Very nice! It's worth getting up early!
Our guide gave us plenty of explanations about the tea plantations. Arriving first at the Boh Tea House is perfect for taking photos from the terrace.

People Also Ask
Are the Cameron Highlands worth going to?
It depends. Hikers, tea enthusiasts, strawberry fans, and anyone looking for a break from the lowlands’ steamy temperatures will find lots to love in the Cameron Highlands. However, travelers with limited time in Malaysia may choose to give the area a miss and focus on islands, jungles, and cities.
What are the must-visit attractions in the Cameron Highlands?
The Cameron Highlands’ biggest single attraction is the Mossy Forest, a gothically atmospheric patch of rainforest that drips with moss. But tea plantations are the area’s signature attraction, and the enormous BOH Tea Gardens are one of the most popular tea plantations to visit.
How many days do you need in the Cameron Highlands?
Many travelers find an overnight trip is right for the Cameron Highlands: At around a 3.5-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, they’re pretty far for a day trip. You’ll want to hike the Mossy Forest, visit a tea plantation, and see bee, strawberry, and flower farms at work.
Are guided tours available for exploring the Cameron Highlands?
Yes, there are plenty of guided tours that explore the Cameron Highlands. Tours from Kuala Lumpur are generally day trips or overnight visits, but you can also take half-day tours, including sunrise tours and tea plantation tours, from within the Cameron Highlands. There are also day trips from Ipoh.
What is the best time to visit the Cameron Highlands?
You can expect some rain in the Cameron Highlands at any time of year, but the weather is driest in January–February and June through August. The weather is warm enough for tea plantations to harvest year-round, so there’s no need to worry about missing key stages.
What should I wear during tours in the Cameron Highlands?
The Cameron Highlands are notoriously rainy, so you should carry a light rain jacket or a poncho with sturdy shoes if you plan to hike. You’ll probably want to wear long pants during the day, but bring a layer if you stay overnight: Night-time temperatures regularly drop to 60°F (16°C).
