Awesome catamaran plenty of room for everyone. Food and drinks were plentiful. High quality food. Relaxing boating to the island. Snorkeling was beautiful around the reef. A range of things to do or to do nothing but relax on the island if u wished. Was not a big touristy island small but enough for everyone on our boat to enjoy. No other crowds. Staff were very attentive and you felt in safe hands. Staff were also a lot of fun and there were plenty of laughs on the way back in. Perfect day full day out not too much you felt exhausted just right. 👍. We have done many sailing day trips over the years before but this is definitely up there with the best delivering the whole package. Picked up and taken back to hotel, well organised and super friendly. Highly recommend. 🙌

A must do in Nadi

A must do in Fiji. 1st off it's about an 1 hour and 15 mins to get there. This just gives you more time to see other places outside Nadi. Be prepared for some hiking/walking up some inclines. The first 8 ziplines require going up....be prepared and take your time. You will get hot and sweat!!! Make sure you wear comfortable shoes with good grip. On to the guides. These guys are top notch. No better way to say it. My wife did the 1st zipline but there were 5 or 6 were the height really got to her and she was scared....totally understandable. Nate and Ba assisted her by going along with her. This made her feel at much more at ease because she said she would walk back. Nate and Ba said they would take care of her and so they did. Outstanding guides all of them. Lastly all the pics are taken by the guides. They ask for phones and they take pics and vids along the way. 5 🌟

Love love!

Best day of my life! Beautiful white sand with lots of different coral and shells with beautiful sea. Felt so relaxed and happy within touching down on the island. Staff were great especially on the water sports area. My son wanted to try everything from kayaking to paddle boarding to building sandcastles and they were so patience and lend out all the equipment. Such a beautiful day that will be forever in our Fiji memory. Love loved our day there

The crew on this ship made you feel like family. This was so much better than I could have imagined. From the welcoming kava ceremony, feeling like I was treated like family, an amazing first time scuba diving, a delicious lunch, thoughtfully planned activities that highlighted the culture of Fiji, a beautiful island, and seeing the care they took for those traveling with small children. Excellent experience! We had a transfer to Port Denarau from Marriott Momi Bay, about 45 min (arranged with the hotel, not included). You checked in with South Sea cruises at the Passenger Terminal. ATMs are available at the terminal. We started with a high speed catamaran from Port Denarau to Kuata Barefood Island with South Sea Cruises (2nd stop), about 1h 30-45 min. They put a wrist band on you identifying that you’re with the shark tour. The helpful crew made it clear where you’re getting off. Once you get near the island, a motorized boat takes you to land and the resort part. Bar, tables, lounge chairs, and bathrooms (roomy and clean) available. Then, the shark tour crew go over the day with you and check in. Snorkel equipment available (included), waivers are signed, options for video packages (underwater GoPro), and lunch buffet are discussed. We were separated into 2 groups. First group was able to go out on motorized boats (bumpy), about 10-15 min to do the actual shark tour, which lasted about 30-40 min before you head back to the resort. It seems short, but just enough time for us. When you get back, you walk back across the rocky/pebbly beach for lunch (served between 12-2, very delicious). Then the 2nd group goes. We were lucky to be in the first group, eating after the excursion was better and more rewarding. Also, we found out there’s an easier walk behind the beach on the resort part, no rocks/pebbles, which is the way we walked back later for pick up. Lots of time to relax, eat, drink, and tan (especially from 1st group). Then, you can walk to a small cave nearby to explore (artifacts in cave) and at 2pm, the women from Wailea (island across) bring over their small crafts market for souvenirs. They had jewelry, sarongs, and other small cute souvenirs. They only accept cash. The other part of the resort accepted card/tap. Wifi available on South Sea cruises and the resort. No ATM on resort, so get cash before boarding. Overall, a great Fijian experience. Highly recommended! Oh, and for us, we did see a lot of sharks!

Highly recommended if you want to learn more about Fijian culture

The hotel pick-up was sensibly scheduled to avoid us having to spend too much time sitting in the bus. All the staff at the Cultural Village were very welcoming, and especially the lady who was guiding us around the different stations at the village was particularly enthusiastic and tried her best to build on the at times less than enthusiastic energy that we gave back to her. The performances were great too. Aside from the breathtakingfire dances, I also enjoyed hearing the close harmonies of the local songs that they sang and danced to. The audience (myself included) were not particularly enthusiastic to engage in the audience participation segment, but the performers made the best of the situation. There was a wide spread of food that was served, and at least for the day i was there, when they were only at around half capacity, there was more than enough food for everyone. Do come prepared for the inevitable mosquitoes, but they do give you repellent for those. Also, you might want to watch out not to accidentally step on a cane toad, as while we were there several of them were crawling across the field between the main stage and the are where they do the lovo. But that shouldn't stop you from signing up for this tour. The staff all deserve a good tip for their efforts.

Village time and lollipops

Beautiful ride up the river, excellent village tour, and meal. If you haven’t done a Fiji village, this may be the best I’ve seen as far as the time they spent in the welcoming ceremony and the time they spent with you touring their village. It’s not the same village every day so your experience may be slightly different, but the Boat captain was from our village and that made a big difference in the way we were accepted. The river is beautiful and volatile. The jet boat was not scary, but it was really cool how it would go over such shallow water. At the end, they do multiples to 360s and get you wet, but it’s not till the end so you don’t get cold. We had a couple kids on board and they were fine with the 360s. I thought they were a bit lackluster, but it is fun to get wet at the end. They kind of turned it into a little amusement park with the 360s.. the most important thing is once you get to Sigatoka if you don’t have lollipops already go to one of the mini stores and get a bag. The kids were so appreciative of a simple lolly. And they would not come and try to get a second one. It was pretty cool.

Fun party, unlike anything I’ve done before!

Absolutely fun, high energy yet somewhat relaxing experience!! You get picked up, you are taken to Denarau Marina, you get a voucher of $60 FJD per person, you get on a boat. Up till now, you are not explained anything. 20min into the boat ride, you get a safety briefing and itinerary overview that you cannot hear lol. That’s the vibe- come here, have fun, don’t worry- everything will be alright! You get to the floating island: snatch a day bed as soon as you can. Snorkel gear does not come with a breathing apparatus FYI, I recommend bringing your own and perhaps also inflatable tubes. Brick oven pizza that is delicious, Vegas pool style cocktails in the middle of no where. Not a care in this world and you totally unplug!! This is cashless, there were no tip jars. It was pretty much impossible to tip because they all jumped in to help you, you didn’t get one guy that kept coming after you because you tipped him. We had a great time, it was such a memorable experience and captured a vibe that we never experienced before. Boat ride back, everyone was dancing and singing.
