Wow! What an amazing experience! Just don't hesitate to book as you honestly won't be disappointed. From booking to getting home the whole experience was fantastic and 5* just doesn't seem enough.
I've never met such friendly and warm hearted people as all the staff who help to run this, from the driver through to the guides. They certainly help to make it a memorable day!
Three boat trip alone is wonderful, up the river into the jungle surrounded by a tropical paradise but then you get to the village that can only be reached by river. We feel very honoured to have visited and seen village life, everyone just goes about their business but make you feel very welcome. Leon gave us a great insight into a little piece of Fijian history too. After the village you get back on the boats and sail back down the river to a stunning waterfall where you can swim or if your brave5 enough, jump off the rocks!!
Then it's lunch time, very chilled at the riverside where you can sample a few Fijian staples.
After lunch the real fun begins and you get to float down the river in the tubes.
The guides and the boats are with you all the time so you feel in very safe hands. What a truly amazing experience but the highlight had to be when we'd all grouped together in our tubes in the middle of the river and the guides sang us some traditional Fijian songs. It was a beautiful moment that we'll never forget!
Thank you to everyone involved for making this such a truly incredible day!!!
Can't wait to do it again someday!

This trip is a must do! What an amazing experience. Visiting a village on the river , learning their culture. The waterfalls were beautiful. The staff were absolutely wonderful, accommodating and the most friendliest people. On a scale from 1-10 I give an 11. Solo the head guide was unbelievably accommodating and so warm and friendly. Again, a must do

The tour guides are awesome and they will take care of you and your children during the whole experience. A must when you visit! If your not capable of doing any part of the tour, they will put you on the boat so you dont have to worry.

Wonderful experience on the Navua river well organised, 10/10 to all the guides, they were very friendly and helpful . Visit to the village was great and we even had local children singing to us after their church service. Communication with their office could have been better but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

An excellent experience going to a village and talking to the locals, seeing their culture to a wonderful spread for lunch and an amazing time tubing and boating along the the river. All the staff were so friendly and kind

best experience ever! i loveeee Bale and Dougie! vibes were so on, i felt immediately welcomed, had such a good time visiting and learning at the village and how sufficient they are with their lifestyle. Bale was my guide, we cracked jokes all day, he felt like another cousin to me, life advice and also helping us tube down as we arent too experienced. this was my second time doing it n i will be back!!

Great fun, well organised. It's not just tubing, it's also a longboat ride and cultural experience. All that in stunning rainforest scenery, with a hearty lunch thrown in.

Absolute best experience in Fiji. We went to a village and met some of the local villagers, also met the chief, and had fresh coconuts from the tree. The waterfall we visited was so beautiful. We Had an amazing Fijian style lunch. The food was "wananavu". Then came the most amazing ride down the river. I almost fell out of my tube lol. Douggy was our guide along with Bale, they were so informative answering our 500 million questions we had. They made this experience so wonderful for us. "Vinaka Vakalevu" We will definitely be back to Fiji to visit our new Fijian family. P.S. make sure to purchase photos afterward. So many great moments are captured.

The whole team looking after you are fantastic and constantly looking out for all guests safety and enjoyment. They really make the day, which is a lot of fun with stunning scenery. Highly recommend all visitors to Fiji do this trip.

Informative at the village, otherwise it wasn't great. It was raining, and quite chilly, and the rain made the ground (dirt) into mud. This made the trip dangerous and should have been cancelled. The trip was only 40 minutes on the tubes. The rest was visiting a local village, very muddy, where I slid on the mud and ended up on my butt. It's a steep climb up and walking through the mud to visit the village and gardens, then a steep incline down the other side, in the mud. Then we went to a waterfall. You have to climb steep rocks up a steep incline, no railing, overlooking running water. It was daunting. If you have a fear of heights or falling, this isn't for you. If you have walking issues, this isn't for you. I had to be led by hand by one of the tour guides. The outdoor lunch was good. I don't think I would do this again thought knowing that there was very little time on the tubes. Even if the weather was good, I don't think I would do this again. I want more time on the river in the tube, not in a boat.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for visiting us.
We’re sorry to hear that the day did not fully meet your expectations. When the tour departed, the weather conditions were manageable; however, as we travelled upriver, the rain became much heavier than anticipated.
On that day, a fallen log had blocked access to our usual guest drop-off point near the village. For safety reasons, the team had to adjust the route and guests were dropped off further downstream, which required walking through the plantation area to reach the village. We understand this added extra time and reduced the time spent tubing on the river, and we appreciate your patience and flexibility.
We’re also sorry to hear about your slip in the muddy conditions. Rain can make natural terrain more challenging, and our guides do their best to assist guests where needed. We’re glad our team was there to support you during the walk.
Regarding the waterfall section, there is a formed concrete pathway leading up to the waterfall area, and guest safety remains a priority throughout the experience. However, we recognise that terrain and weather conditions can feel more difficult for some guests, especially in wet conditions or for those less comfortable with uneven ground and inclines.
We appreciate your comments about the village visit and lunch and are grateful you joined us despite the weather. Your feedback helps us continue reviewing how we communicate tour expectations and adapt experiences during changing river conditions.
Vinaka vakalevu for visiting us, and we wish you all the best on the rest of your travels.

We had a fabulous time! The guides were friendly and very helpful getting us down the river safely. The village visit was very informative and an added bonus. Lunch was good!

Was a big day from Nadi but worth it. After being picked up in Nadi, it took about 3 hours to get to the river. The drive was good although long because you get to see lots of the coast. The village visit and lunch were nice. The views are stunning and relaxing.

A fantastic trip from the second you arrive to the time you leave. Nick and Mess made the day very special could not fault this in any way. Worth every cent!!!

It was a great experience from start to finish! The staff was efficient and helpful and kept things moving at a great pace. Each boat gets a guide to make you feel like it’s a smaller tour. We loved seeing the village and swimming at the waterfall but of course the highlight was the tubing. Beautiful scenery at every turn. My kids were 8, 9, 12, 14 and loved it! Lunch was great even for pickier eaters. One of our favorite experiences here in Fiji!

Best day! From the driver Ramell to the cooks, village people, boat attendants, tour guides…the most relaxing and exhilarating adventure. They truly allow you time to enjoy each aspect of this tour. No rush, no fuss and tons of laughs, smiles and kindness. The chief took time to personally thank us for the small gifts we brought (about 15 children in village) and each step was explained and safety was always number one. From kids to age 83….not an adventure you would want to miss! Ps - bring plenty of sunscreen and apply throughout adventure

Beautiful views and so many waterfalls. The tour guides had great energy and everything was planned out well
Amy_R, May 2026
Staff were friendly but the day was lacking details on the schedule / what to wear when etc was confusing and we ended up travelling home in wet clothes (4hr bus trip back to Nadi). If youre on the smaller side I also recommend asking for a small tube, Im 5ft and could not reach the river to paddle / stear the larger tube and had to have staff / guides help me go in the right direction multiple times through out the trip. Scenery was lovely though, made a nice contrast to the tropical islands.

Amazing tour, with so many wonderful local employees! There was so much seamlessly packed into the day. Even though it was a large group, it did not feel that large as you were assigned a small boat, driver, and guide for the day and there were lots of helpful employees everywhere you turned. The scenery was beautiful, very authentic Fijian day with wonderful people. Must do tour!

Joined with my Partner, we absolutely loved everything about that day! The beautiful landscape, the waterfalls, the divings but most importantly the lovely staff! They made our day extra special ❤️❤️

Amazing! Captain Isaac and Patrick were the best guides! Thank you for the rapids! Respectful visit to the village. Appreciate the Photos by Bali. Better than imagined experience!

The reviews on this site are excellent, but the experience was even better than others have described! This (whole) family run enterprise is well organised, and we were made to feel really looked after from start to finish. The tubing was the highlight including the beautiful singing, food was excellent and we enjoyed seeing the village, the longboat ride up 17km of river and the swimming in the waterfall. Lunch also unhurried and delightful. We did this as a shore excursion from a cruise and the transfers to and from were also done well, and provided good information about the trip and Fiji generally. The photographs of the day we were offered at the end were numerous and good quality at a great price!

It was a great experience from beginning to end for our family of 3. The bus picked us up at the port, and delivered us to the departure point on the river. Everything was clear and well explained. We wanted a tour which was a little different. This met our needs. Our guides Peter in the water) and Ben on the bus were excellent. The tour took us down the river on boat to a remote village. It was interesting to see how the people lived day to day. This was followed by an excellent lunch, a visit to a remote waterfall and then we mounted the inner tubes and headed upstream. The trip was so much fun. We went through two or three rapids, which made you feel like a kid again. Our guide, Peter watched over us all the way and made sure that we were completely safe. A quick change of clothes at the end, and we boarded the bus back to the ship. Even though it rained on and off, the whole day was great. Highly recommended.

River tubing in Fiji was hands down one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm “Bula!” right as we stepped out of the car, and the hospitality never stopped from there. The drive from Nadi was definitely long, but absolutely worth every minute.
Our tour guide, Ben, was incredible—so helpful, friendly, and accommodating the entire day. It started off raining pretty hard, but he kept the energy up and made sure we were still having a great time. Once the rain cleared, it turned into the perfect day.
We took a scenic boat ride up the river to a local village, where we got to experience authentic daily life and meet the villagers. It was such a genuine and memorable experience—something we’ll never forget.
After visiting the village, we headed back downriver for lunch, which was delicious and exactly what we needed before tubing. The tubing itself was an absolute blast, and the guides made it even more special by singing traditional Fijian songs along the way.
Overall, an unforgettable day filled with adventure, culture, and amazing people. This is an absolute must-do if you’re visiting Fiji!

Try something new-eat authentic Figian food, see how the locals live, experience the hospitable culture of a delightfully happy people, learn a little about their history, and experience some class 2 rapids up close and personal. A highlight day for sure! We all loved it!!

This excursion was the highlight of our trip. Dougie was a wonderful guide and took very great care of myself and my mom during the entire ride/float on the river. I highly recommend doing this excursion, even if you can't swim, they provide solid life jackets and I felt very safe.

It was fantastic! Our guide, Winnie, was awesome! The entire team was great. It is a must do when visiting Fiji. The tour was just as advertised. You get to see parts of Fiji you wouldn’t see otherwise and learn more about the history of the country.

So much fun!
Beautiful scenery, relaxing boat ride to start.
Fun waterfall swimming and opportunities to cliff jump.
Lunch was great.
It was torrentially downpouring and lightning but we still went tubing which added to the excitement… and the waterfalls were gushing on the way back because of the rain!
I went solo… still felt welcome and included.
Would be great with a group or as couples too!

We were picked up from our resort and made our way to The Navua River, our driver was lovely.
Leon was our tour guide and with our group right the way through (for the boat rides, tubing and village visit)
He was very knowledgeable and so much fun! We all had an absolute blast!! All of the guides were so lovely and polite, I would do it again 10 times over!

There is a reason this excursion has such high ratings. I have booked many tours and this one is at the top. The ride up the river was absolutely beautiful. The waterfalls were amazing and the food was good. Then we got in the tubes. The guides are so knowledgeable and take such good care of the guests that it was just a blast. But the best part was when all the guides started singing. In perfect harmony bouncing off the canyon walls. It brought me to tears. So beautiful. This is a must do tour!
