What are people saying about Loch Lomond

Sterling Castle was great, Loch Lomond was meh
The Sterling Castle portion of the trip is great! There was ample time to see the whole castle and grounds. The Loch Lomond portion was meh. Quite boring and not worth the expense.
The shining star of the entire experience was our driver Alastair!! He was entertaining with his quick wit and sense of humor, as well as very knowledgeable about the sites and history, all while making us feel safe the entire trip!

Nicely done!
It’s a full day but not cramped up. Wear comfortable shoes for walking, and a small hike at Loch Lomond. Do a free guided tour at Stirling Castle as it was well worth the time. Alex B was great, and gave us a good sense of real life in Scotland.

This was a great tour starting with Sterling Castle and then a cruise on Loch Lomond, lunch at the Bank etc!

Just do it
Peter was very polite and a great storyteller. He shared a lot more information than we expected - all interesting about the history of Scotland, Stirling castle and Loch Lomond. Highly recommend.

Loved the Scottish Highlands!
We enjoyed this excursion on 8/20/2026. We boarded conveniently at our cruise terminal. The bus was clean and very comfortable. Our tour guide, Gerry, was great! Very amusing as well as educational. He shared all sorts of interesting information and history along the way. We had sufficient time at each stop and thoroughly enjoyed the sights in this beautiful country.

Lovely day trip
This was a thoroughly enjoyable trip. Our driver and guide James, was extremely knowledgeable and explained all the sites as we went along. The guided tour of Sterling Castle was great and our guide was very clear and informative. We enjoyed the boat trip on Loch Lomond even though the weather eas not great.

Taylor is awesome!
Taylor was great! He was very smart, informative, dry-witted funny, and was welcoming to any questions or insights on the tour! He also gave me a little Nessie for me to take home for my daughter! Would definitely come back for Timberbush tours for him as a tour guide!

A short nice trip to the Highlands.
We had a nice trip to the Highlands. I travelled with my elderly parents and they had a relaxed travel. Would suggest this trip to anyone who are visiting Scotland for the first time.

Great tour!
Wow! Our guide/driver was a darling girl named Ailsa. She was very well informed about the history of this area. She loves Glasgow and it shows. We couldn’t believe she was going to be both guide and driver.
The tour was exactly as described with plenty of time at each stop. Would definitely recommend this tour.

An amazing Scottish adventure!
If you are thinking about booking this tour, just do it! I had an unforgettable day seeing the Kelpies, walking by Loch Lomond, and exploring Stirling Castle. A huge shoutout to the fantastic guide, Stuart, who was so warm and welcoming. I also really appreciated how cautious and smooth his driving was. He made it a completely stress-free and perfect day out!
