The experience we ended...
The experience we ended up doing was good, we did it on a four wheel drive. Just be aware that the options that are given are 65euros a person extra. I thought the tour I had chosen would be a medium level but we were told medium to difficult and had to rent shoes and jackets. All I n all we ended having a nice time and Salvo our tour guide who picked us up was very knowledgeable and gave us very interesting facts about Etna and the city of Catania. Would recommend

It was amazing! We loved...
It was amazing! We loved our driver and guide, Salvatore and Mario. The experience itself was a ton of fun and our hosts were very accommodating and kind. Mario has encyclopedic knowledge of the flora and history of Etna and was excited to share with all of us. The meal in the pine forest alongside other tourists and locals was very charming and delicious. Highly recommend water shoes for the gorges, and be sure to turn to the right once you reach the bottom of the stairs for the main attraction!

Great experience with knowledgeable guide
We were a 3 generation family. Ages 15, 18, 40s and late 70s. Fantastic tour with Daniele, a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. The climb to the crater was fairly strenuous for thosrewho were not fit. Climbing down into the lava cave was a great experience. Loved the views of the lava flow and the Daniele really explained the geology clearly and simply. Would definately recommend this tour.

The Street is Where It’s At! 😎
Our Catania Street Food Small Group Tour with Do It Better was an absolute delight and one of the highlights of our time in Sicily. Our guide, Julia, was simply lovely – warm, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable – and she made the whole experience feel relaxed, personal and so much fun.
We sampled some wonderful Sicilian treats, from a delicious ham and cheese pastry to a fantastic fish cone, where the anchovies were especially delicious. Of course, no visit to Sicily would be complete without cannoli, and we enjoyed both chocolate and pistachio – absolutely divine! We finished with refreshing gelato: toasted almond for one of us and lemon for the other. Julia also explained the traditional simplicity of the dessert made using sugar, water and fruit or nuts.
Everything was delicious, but it was Julia’s passion, knowledge and lovely personality that made the tour truly special. We came away not only very full and happy, but feeling that we had experienced a little piece of the real Catania. Highly recommended!

Wonderful day at Etna!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience exploring Mount Etna and the lava caves. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate, making the entire experience extremely enjoyable.
She shared an abundance of information about Etna’s volcanic history, geology, and the surrounding area, while also making sure we felt comfortable and safe throughout the tour. Visiting the lava caves was a real highlight—such a unique and unforgettable experience. I only hit made head once…thankfully we were provided helmets!
Our guide’s passion, enthusiasm and expertise truly made the day special. We learned so much, took in some incredible landscapes, and had amazing experience from start to finish!

Don’t miss Taormina and Castelmola!
We LOVED this tour!! Taormina is gorgeous and our guide Corrado was awesome! He gave us just enough info without boring us with facts and history. Plus he took us to the most amazing and oldest cannoli shop in the town! We then headed up to Castelmola which was a spectacular mountain top town and had lunch at a very interesting and very delicious restaurant! It was a fantastic day! I highly recommend this tour!

Torimino and castlemola with views of Mt Etna
Toramina was our first stop and had a nice cup of cappuccino before the stores opened and made it through town to the theater 14euros and under 18 was free. Highly recommend the cannolis they fill in the booth.
Our Driver did a stop before for nice pic of Mt Etna and did a nice job explaining the area.
Went onto Castlemola for lunch and beautiful views.

Good times
Great time, fun experience. Our driver Carmelo was great straight from pickup in Catania. He is very knowledgeable of the entire area on the ride out and pointing areas out to us. When we met up with another tour guide Peter, both Carmelo and Peter knew everything and anything about the towns we visited and the Godfather movie. Enjoyed all the sites visited and even our stop for a great lunch at a local pizza place in town.

A great adventure
This was an excellent tour, the tour guide and his wife were excellent. On the way up Mt Etna began smoking. The tour guide was extremely informative. We stopped at a winery where we saw a little movie of how the wine was made many years ago in the 1865. They also had cherries, lemons and other fruits on the farm.
We saw a round Rainbow called an Angels rainbow which is very rare. We ate at the only restaurant on Mt Etna. My salad was excellent, but people complained about the food, which was all carbohydrates.

Great Experience, filled with surprises!
We had an unforgettable day exploring Mount Etna and visiting the Gambino Winery. Our guide, Martino, was exceptional—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about his land, its history, and the unique culture of the Etna region. His enthusiasm made every stop more meaningful, from the volcanic landscapes to the vineyards thriving in Etna’s fertile volcanic soil. The stop at the honey farm was a great experience, arriving just before the tour groups, making us feel like it was a private tour! The winery visit was a highlight, with excellent wines, delicious local food, and fascinating insights into the winemaking traditions of the area. Martino came through again, he took us to a private part of the vineyard that was quiet and very romantic. On our way back, we stopped at the Chestnut of One Hundred Horses, and then proceeded on our way, only to be surprised again by a gift of delicious Italian cookies.!
If you’re looking for an authentic Sicilian experience, I highly recommend this tour, and Martino. Thank you, Martino for sharing your passion and making our visit so memorable!

Mt Etna hike and Gambino Winery Tour
From start to finish this was a brilliant day. Our guide Lucas was so knowledgeable and friendly - making us laugh a lot and made us feel very comfortable. He had a huge amount of information on Mt Etna and clearly has a passion for the region and it's people. The wine tasting at Gambino is a must do activity, I've never done such a fantastic tasting with such high quality food. Lovely staff and the perfect end to a great day

Great Day in October
Wow what an amazing day. Small groups are the best and our driver Martino made it even better. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. His knowledge of the region was very informative. If you like to get a taste of different towns in a day this excursion is for you. The architecture of the region is beautiful. We visited a number of churches in the towns that gives you a nice snapshot of the area history. The time is not rushed and we feel we had time to see what we wanted. Views are amazing and this time of year the crowds are very manageable. Again a shout out to Martino who made it an amazing day. We highly recommend this tour.
