This tour is a gem!

This is one of the coolest experiences I've done in Bogotá over the last 16 years of visiting. I never had much interest in buying an emerald, but making your own emerald ring was a great way to spend three hours. Not only did we learn about the history of emeralds in Colombia, but we also came to appreciate the art of crafting custom jewelry. We were guided along the way with true artists in the business who helped us turn an idea into one of the most memorable souvenirs we've brought home from Colombia. The emeralds aren't the highest quality, but they are indeed genuine. It's worth paying a little extra money for a larger or higher quality stone than the one included in the tour price. Thanks Nick for guiding the experience.

Fabulous tour

This tour was good value and gave us all a very good insight into Bogota. Daniel Gomez was our tour guide who was very passionate and knowledgeable about his country. After a prompt pick up we were driven to the cable car station, visited Montserrat, views of Bogota were great. Then returned to the most historical area Calendario to start the city tour.

This is a great tour. 160m up to the Lagoon in Guatavita and 180m down at the Zapiquira Cathedral and salt mine. A wonderful experience both above and below ground. Juan Carlos was a fabulous guide who expertly guided us through the history of El Dorado and the Muisca, Grand Colombia, Spanish independence to modern day Colombian politics. Truly uplifting and inspiring.

The tour was well worth it!

The tour operator was about to cancel the tour because it was just me. Luckily two more persons joined on the evening before the tour. Our guide Jaquelin is superb. She knows her stuff as a guide and has a charmingly joyful way of delivering it. The tour takes to see the views over Bogota from Monserrate and is a great way to learn about Bogota, Candelaria and Colombia.

Well organised tour for the Salt Cathdral

It takes about an hour to pick people up from different hotels and about another hour to get to the Salt mine and Salt cathedral. 2.5 hours inside is more than enough time to see everything. The late lunch was at a BBQ restaurant with good grilled pork and beef - also some vegetarian choices. There is a small amount of time for sightseeing in Zipaqueria at the end before going back to Bogota.
