Airport Layover Tour Bogota

Great tour! David and Eduardo curated the tour to include the must see places in Bogota with the limited time we had on this layover flight. David spoke great English and answered all of our questions. They picked us up from the airport timely, and even found us when we could not locate the pick up location. With our delay the tour was cut short, but Eduardo, the driver got us back to the airport, in the extremely heavy traffic on time. Eduardo, was a super driver, picking us up from all locations and maneuvering through the traffic on side streets to get us back to the airport. We recommend this tour!

A Deeply Moving Experience with a great guide

Not only did he know Cathedral inside and out, he was able to allow me to have my experience moving through it. Our guide, José Vásquez, was exceptional. He was flexible, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. We quickly grew to truly appreciate him and admire the passion and depth of knowledge he shared with us. The tour itself was a great way to visit Monserrate and explore some of the most interesting parts of the city on foot. Everything felt well-paced and thoughtfully planned. He also gave us the best tastings of fruits, coffee, and chocolate, each one memorable and perfectly curated. Highly, highly recommended.

Cave tour

Everything was well organized. The caves were great. Our guide didn't communicate in English at all which is not what was advertised. The ride in the van was hot, no AC. We rolled down the windows but was still hot. Overall I would recommend but be aware you may not get everything that is advertised.

Off the beaten path

To be sure: those are not really "favelas", in a sense we are used to think of them, but it's a place where real people live and go to work every day and keep the city of Bogotá moving. For us that was a more interesting experience than yet another museum that would not stay in memory for more than 10 minutes after we leave. We were delighted to make an acquaintance with John and David!

Educational and fun

This was a great experience from start to finish. Juan Carlos and Victor were extremely friendly. Juan Carlos was accommodating, funny and loved that he kept checking in individually. It truly was a packed day and definitely kept my fitness in check but the views were worth it. Overall a great trip!

The hike to La Chorrera...

The hike to La Chorrera was such a great experience. The views along the way are absolutely beautiful, and while some parts of the trail are a bit challenging, it’s completely manageable and 100% worth it in the end. Reaching the waterfall is really special, it’s stunning and makes the whole hike feel even more rewarding. The food before and afterwards was also really nice, which was a perfect addition to the hike. A special mention to our guide, Andrea, who was amazing. She was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the hike. She kept a good pace for the group and was always checking in, which made the whole experience feel very smooth and enjoyable. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hike!

Great Tour with an Excellent Guide and Memorable Lunch

Mateo did a great job as our tour guide to the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá. He was knowledgeable, organized, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The lunch restaurant was excellent and a highlight of the day. The only suggestion would be to allow a bit more time to explore the local shops in the town. Overall, a wonderful tour experience!

If you are LUCKY ENOUGH to get Sergio and Jesus as your guides you are guaranteed the most WONDERFUL tour! Sergio is HILARIOUS and his energy is contagious! Three amazing hours in the mountains

I booked the tour with Andes Eco Tours (via Viatour), and everything was well organized from the beginning. I was picked up directly from my hotel in Bogotá and driven to La Calera, which made the whole experience very easy and comfortable. When I arrived, the horses were already prepared and ready. We started the ride right away, and the tour lasted about 3 hours with breathtaking viewpoints almost the entire way. There were plenty of opportunities for nice galloping, which made the ride especially fun and exciting. My guide Diego was very friendly and informative, sharing a lot about the area, nature, and local plants throughout the ride, which made the experience even more interesting. I felt safe and comfortable during the trip, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. It was a fantastic way to experience the mountains just outside the city. A big thank you to Diego and the owner Andes for a great experience - highly recommended for anyone visiting Bogotá and wanting a memorable horseback adventure!
