Recently, whales have been appearing in Alta Fjord as they migrate further north, bringing these magnificent creatures closer to our region. The most common species you'll encounter are sperm whales and killer whales (orcas), though there are also opportunities to see porpoises and hourglass dolphins. Join us on an exciting adventure as we explore the Fjord in search of whales. If you're lucky, you may witness the breathtaking sight of hourglass dolphins swimming wildly in the sea, and have the incredible opportunity to see wild whales up close. If you are susceptible to seasickness, take seasickness medication 3 hours before the tour starts.
