What are people saying about Alicante

Excellent Tour that you don't want to miss!
This was one of our favorite tours mainly due to our guide, Flor. She met us about 30 ft from the ship's gangplank as we walked off the ship, which made finding her super easy. Our small group of eight hopped into a small mini bus and we were whisked into town within 10-15 minutes. We walked along the Promenade and Flor shared so much knowledge and history about Alicante that it immediately connected the group with the city. Flor is extremely knowledgeable about the city and its rich history, which made the tour much better than many other tours we have been on. We hit all of the highlights on the itinerary, but I think everyone's favorite experience was going to a cafe for churros dipped in chocolate! That was off script, but the group wanted to do it, so she took us. It actually was only a couple of minutes from the market. But she was flexible with our small group. Afterwards, we went to Santa Barbara Castle and took the short walk up to almost the top where we had fantastic views of the city and could easily see our ship! The top was closed off, but we got close. What an awesome day! We highly recommend this tour, but we recommend Flor even more! Muchas gracias a mi nueva amiga!

Alicante Paella Cooking Class with Olivera.
This was a great class and experience. There were 12 of us, all really nice people. Olivera, the instructor, was terrific! Great personality, truly engaging, and she knows how to make the dish. We made 3 different versions of Arroz Alicantino (what they call Paella there), veggie, chicken, shrimp and squid, which we all shared. Outstanding. We highly recommend this experience.

Alicante Market and Santa Barbara Castle
A fantastic tour, with an amazing guide in Fran. Very informative, telling you all those little details that you would never know about otherwise. Lovely look around the largest market in Spain with some tasting of local food, followed by a taxi up to Santa Barbara Castle (Fortress), with more great facts and amazing views of the entire area. Tour finishes with some nice tapas and a drink. Can’t recommend it enough, Fran is a brilliant tour guide.

Delicious and fun foodie tour!
We booked the evening tour and met our guide outside the central market at 6pm (guide messaged us day prior to confirm details). There were 4 of us on the tour (us and another couple) and the tour lasted around 2.5 hours. We visited 5 stops (shops and bars) and enjoyed cold cuts, some tapas, Alicante rice, sweet treats, wine and sangria! Our guide Paco (hopefully I’ve remembered his name correctly) was friendly and informative and explained he could arrange alternatives if required for anyone not eating meat or fish. Please note the end point of the tour is different from the start point (end point was just a short walk from the Explanada). We thought the tour was very good value for money and would be pleased to recommend.
