Our tour guide Yassin Idar was fantastic. Felt very safe with him and knew we were in good hands, especially being nervous about the quad bike (I was with my 14 year old son and I let him drive). Yassin made us feel really comfortable and kept checking we were ok. He was there to help us on the camels too.
The trip itself was great. We stopped off at a little place where they made argan oil and had some mint tea and a chance to check out how argan oil is made and I bought some orange blossom argan oil - mainly for the smell to remind us of Morocco! Then we ventured into the desert, did a pretty fast quad bike ride and rode the camels in the sunset. There were also chances to stop and rest in between activities at the main base - a pool with a bar in the middle of the desert which was pretty cool. Just wished we'd have brought our swimming costumes for a dip to get the desert dust off! We both wore white which wasnt the best idea? So.... tip from me is to take swimming costumes and don't wear your nice clothes!
The food was really tasty - lentil soup, chicken tagine and couscous, home made bread, cake and mint tea. A good amount of it and I think they do pretty well considering it's the main place where all the tour groups meet so there were maybe 200 people there.
The sunset and then evening entertainment was so much fun. After traditional Berber music and flame throwing we had a mini rave. Everyone got into it, jumping up and down and dancing. It was one of those rare and beautiful moments you don't often get in life - dancing like crazy in the desert in the sunset.
Such an amazing trip. A bucket list kind of thing that we'll remember forever! We kind of felt like we were in a star wars film all day too!
Thank you Yassin. I loved you being our guide and chatting to you about growing up in the atlas mountains.
Book this trip - you won't regret it. Wear a lot of sun screen and take lots of water. Now I'm back in rainy England I'll be dreaming of being back there in that heat!

Great experience from start to finish. The pick up was prompt and the transfer to the desert was an experience in its self. The quad bike ride was exhilaration and in contrast the camel ride was slow and steady. The food was first class and the music and fire show was good.
The absolute star of the day & night had to be our guide Rabiaa who was always there to help and even managed to organise an extra high speed run on the quad bikes for a few of the group.

Great experience from beginning to end. Our host Samira and the driver were very kind and helpful and made sure we had the best possible experience. Samira communicated clearly even before our trip began, and made an effort to ensure everyone was well cared for. Highly recommend this tour!

The **Agafay Desert** itself is beautiful, and there were definitely memorable moments, but of all the experiences we had in Morocco, this is the one I probably could have skipped.
The highlights were watching the stunning desert sunset, witnessing an incredible dust storm roll across the landscape, and enjoying the traditional Moroccan musicians. Those moments made for a truly unique experience.
Unfortunately, the overall tour felt rushed and a bit disorganized. We happened to visit on the day Morocco was playing Canada, and it seemed like much of the staff's attention was on the football match. After a very brief quad bike ride (about 10 minutes plus a few photo stops) and an equally short camel ride, we ended up sitting by the pool for over an hour wondering what was happening next while people watched the game.
Dinner also felt hurried, and we spent much of the meal trying to keep bees away from our food. The transportation was another downside—the drive to the desert took about an hour, but the vehicle's air conditioning wasn't working despite temperatures exceeding 110°F (43°C), making the journey extremely uncomfortable.
One personal note: while I'm glad I experienced the desert, I don't think I'll do another camel ride. Seeing the camels tied together waiting for tourists made me uncomfortable, and it's something I'll choose to skip in the future.
Overall, if your goal is simply to experience the Agafay Desert at sunset, you'll likely enjoy the scenery. But based on our experience, I think there are better ways to enjoy the desert with a more relaxed pace and a higher-quality overall experience.

This was probably one of the best value trips I have ever taken. The experiences were unique and the food and entertainment were superb. The Moroccan landscape is simply spectacular at dusk. Our guide Samira was efficient, timely and got us the full experience. This would be one of the few tours I would do a second time!

Very good trip! Our guide Achraf and the driver Ilyas were very nice and accommodating. They were helpful and Archraf even tied my headscarf for me before the quad biking! They both answered all my question about Marrakesh too.
The only downfall I’d say, I don’t know if our group were just unlucky but there seemed to be a long wait for the quad biking to start, which in the heat was unbearable - so bring water. The quad biking guy we had didn’t take photos of us like we thought, so make sure to ask! I chose not to do the camel ride, but the others said it was amazing.
The fire show and dinner was also stunning, very lively and delicious food.

Laila was a wonderful guide, it was such a fulfilling experience, I highly recommend attending this excursion.

Amazing day at Agafay Desert! Organised and well communicated from start to finish. Tarik our guide was exceptional he was professional, attentive, fun and went above and beyond to ensure the group had the best time.
The whole experience is incredible camel rides, quad biking (my favourite activity) a delicious meal and an awesome fire show at the end! Amazing vibes what a perfect day/night, thank you Tarik for an unforgettable experience at Agafay desert!🇲🇦🤩

The trip itself was OK. We waited for around 20min for some tourists that were late, on a bus with no working A/C, no Windows, so with the heat of Marrakesh was awful.
Kelly_U, Jul 2026
I left messages but got no reply....boys was waiting to be collected and the driver said they wasn't there, she took a picture to prove she had been....guess what?? They was in the picture!! We had to pay for a taxi costing 500D so they could go.....not happy 😊

This overall experience was great. However, the van was extremely hot. The air conditioning was pretty much non- existent. The air was blowing, but you couldn’t feel it. It was 110 degrees outside. You have to wait for other groups to finish their excursions before you can do yours. Bring bottles of water. Bring a fan, dress cool (you will be outside for a long time). The food served is traditional Moroccan food. The food was good. In the evening, there is a show. Overall the entire experience was well thought out. It could use some tweaks. Riding in a hot van for 2 hours is NOT the best move.

It was the best experience we had. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious and the rides were out of this world. I wish we had longer on the camels but everything was so well done and they work hard to give you a great experience. Would highly recommend and will do again.

This tour is definitely worth the cost. The atv vehicle ride and the camel ride alone was worth the price we paid for this excursion. Our tour guide Rabiaa was so fun to hang out with. Her enthusiasm for the experience was infectious. The meal and music portions were just okay. However, the fire show was amazing!
Olivia_C, Jun 2026
The experience itself was very fun. What put a damper on all of it was our driver was 45 minutes late and didn’t give us a heads up even though we had their WhatsApp (but told another couple). This resulted in my friend and I waiting outside for 45 minutes in almost 100 degree weather because there wasn’t a nearby area to wait inside. Fun activity, need MUCH better communication from guides.
Rachel_S, Jun 2026
Overall the trip was ok. However lots of waiting around and we had poor communication throughout the trip. We received what’s app message the night before saying the trip started at 16:00 and finished at 21:30 along with the meeting point information.
Our tour guide was called Aznag and he met us at the meeting point and took us to the location. We arrived at the meeting point and Aznag had called because he couldn’t find us at the meeting point. Whilst in the right place. He was in the minibus and stood at the side of the road. Managed to find him and hopped in for the trip.
There is lots of waiting around for the activities. We waited an hour for the Camels and basically walked 100 meters had a photo and walked back. We didn’t mind this due to the heat and feeling sorry for camels.
We then signed a waiver and completed the quad bikes. The helmets are not great but I managed to eventually get one that fitted.
We then had dinner and watched the show. Due to the airing around we didn’t eat until 20:00 which was fine but we felt rushed thinking we would need to leave to be back at the original meeting point for 21:30.
This is where clear communication would have helped. After dinner we didn’t see our guide much until the very end of the fire show. Which ended up being 21:50. He then collected us and we drove back to the meeting point which ended up being at 23:00. We ended up trying to find him and other group members as we stared to panic thinking they had left without us.
Clearer communication from the “guide” would have made the experience more enjoyable.

The tour guide Karima was very welcoming and the activities were very fun to do, especially the camel ride
Kathryn_S, Jun 2026
this excursion is a must, we had great communication from our tour guide Rabiaa prior to our trip so we knew pick up times and the itinerary for the day.
The day was very good. The price we paid was amazing. The whole day run very smoothly and was grateful. 100% would recommend this trip to anyone.
quad biking and camel ride were great, so much food for the meal and really tasty. Shows afterwards to we’re really good.
We were picked up from our hotel and dropped off to the door.
our driver was great along with Rabiaa!
Fantastic team who really made our trip memorable
Thank you so much 😊

It was great, our tour guide was so nice and the camels and four wheeler experience was great. I enjoyed the singing and the fire show the most.
Sheyla_V, Jun 2026
Raabia was the best, she picked us up right away and gave us details along the way. She made sure as a group we got the full traditional experience from what we ate and gathering us to make sure we got to each point of the excursion on time. I also want to give a huge shout out to her since I also left my shoes at one part of the excursion and she had someone bring them to the last leg of what we were doing. I wasn't feeling well towards the end of it due to some bad pizza i had before leaving and she didn't make us get up after dinner. 100/100 experience. the desert was gorgeous and the food was DELICIOUS. I cant wait to go back again.

Our guide was very attentive and friendly, and The whole experience was amazing. The activities were fantastic, the dinner was excellent, and the final show was fun, entertaining, and engaging. Highly recommended!

Our experience with our driver and our tour guide, Laila, was excellent. We really enjoyed the camel ride in the desert as it was a calm experience. We also really enjoyed quad biking through the desert. It was a thrilling experience. Afterwards, we had dinner during sunset which was delicious. There was also a Berber music show and fire show which gave a lovely end to the eventful evening. We would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone who would like to experience an evening in the desert filled with fun activities and lovely people.

Ideally, bring along with you sunglasses and a bandana/ scarf for the quad as the dust can rather overwhelming on the eyes and nostrils.
Carry cash - for tips and drinks...
Margaret_L, Jun 2026
We were picked up from near our hotel at 3:20 and finished dinner by 6:45. We waited for the nighttime show to start for an hour and a half with nothing to do but stare at the desert. Since the sun is setting late now, they should have picked us up at least an hour later. The quad bikes were fun, but the camels seemed to be treated poorly. Dinner was decent but nothing to rave about. In all, it was a good value for the price.
mike_B, Jun 2026
Quad ride is about 50 minutes and camel back is about 15 minutes. Plan to be out all day for this excursion because a long commute is involved with customers from other locations being picked up and dropped off as well. Water is not provided and you won’t have access to drinking water until you reach ATV site which is second half of excursion so bring a bottle with you especially on a hot day.
Gilmar_R, Jun 2026
We took this tour with Rabiaa, who was very attentive, friendly and professional. She even arrangead candles for us to sing my wife happy birthday after the dinner! She, Hassan and Abdul made sure our day was fun, light, informative and that everything ran smoothly. Its hard to say which part of the Agafay experience was the better, I wouldn’t miss doing it, it is a great break from the Medina’s business.
Agnieszka_K, Jun 2026
What a fun and exciting afternoon. The dessert has so much to offer- from camel rides to quads. The surrounding was beautiful with an amazing pool in the middle of the camp. Having a good meal, music and fire show was a great way of finishing up the activity.
AudreyMbulayi, Jun 2026

The evening was perfect, our guide Mariam was lovely and made everything easy. We stopped off at a women’s collective where we were offered traditional bread with authentic dips and tea and also made the journey seem shorter. They briefly demonstrated how argan oils are made and offered products without pressuring us to purchase them. We arrived at the base where you can buy head wraps for 150 mad and took in the stunning views and facilities. The camel ride was good fun and short which worked well for us, any longer would have become tedious. This was followed by the quad-biking which was an amazing experience and lasted much longer, it felt safe and comfortable but was still adrenaline pumping. We then had a calm evening on the site where food and views were incredible. The sunset was a gorgeous sight from the base. The evening show was vibrant. Overall really enjoyed ourselves.
