Romans, Moors and Bones Self Guided Tour of Évora

Évora's famous Roman Temple survived two thousand years because it spent centuries disguised as a slaughterhouse. This self-guided audio tour of Évora, delivered through the Tourific app, takes you through stories of Roman, Moorish, and medieval history across the UNESCO-listed old city. Hear how Vasco da Gama blessed his fleet's banners in the cathedral, why Portuguese students inspired Hogwarts robes, and the hidden message of the Chapel of Bones. The route winds from the university to the Acropolis, past azulejo-covered churches, cork artisan shops, and atmospheric squares — finishing in leafy palace gardens. No fixed schedule, no group to keep pace with. Start when you like, pause for a long lunch of Alentejano pork and clams, and pick up right where you left off — the audio works offline.
