We stayed on five islands in the Cyclades, and this catamaran excursion was without a doubt one of our biggest favorites of our entire trip. To start, because of the winds, the team transferred us to the south of the island, to Paleochori, to allow us to have our experience in favorable conditions. And that was the case. A radiant sun, calm waters for all the important stops where we stopped, and all the time necessary to enjoy breathtaking natural sites. The limit of tourists who can be on board is sixteen people, which is perfect for having this unique experience in itself. It is more expensive than on the larger boats, but the price difference is absolutely worth it. On this catamaran, the captain and his crew do not treat us like mere tourists, but like friends they want to show the more hidden side of this island they love, which is easily apparent when the captain tells us many historical facts about the island, talks to us about life on the island, their success, their customs and traditions, their island way of life, their culture, and also their concerns. An exceptional storyteller, this captain. We were all listening when he spoke; it was fascinating. The food, the drinks, nothing is missing, and everything was delicious. Special mention for the shrimp pasta and, towards the end of the excursion, for the grilled octopus. As for the excursion, it will remain etched in our memory for eternity. So much beauty on this majestic coastline. Magnificent rocky spurs offering every shade, from white to red ocher, testifying to the richness of the minerals that form them and that make the island rich, accompanied by turquoise and clear water, so comfortable on this September day. First, the first stop was at a heavenly, uncrowded beach, near which we were able to visit a beautiful underground cave thanks to the captain's headlamp, with which he guided us. A unique experience not to be missed. During the excursion, we have all the time we need to swim in the turquoise and translucent waters of the sea, where one can observe beautiful marine life. The most striking stage was undoubtedly the stop at the Kleftiko site. A site of breathtaking beauty with beautiful white cliffs including a huge rock with an arch at its base. Despite the presence of several other excursionists, this does not take away from the beauty and majesty of this heavenly place. The return to Adamas was more athletic because of the intense winds, but nothing to make life complicated for us. A rather wet return, yes, but we hadn't brought our swimsuits for nothing, after all! Go for it with your eyes closed (but keep them open to discover the magnificence of the place!)
