Exceptional tour guide, fun way to learn about Helsinki

The walking tour was great. Matti was an exceptional guide, was friendly and greeted everyone at the beginning, cracked jokes throughout, and provided a very robust and interesting background on Helsinki, including history, culture, and the people. He also gave great recommendations on activities to do and places to shop and dine. This was my first time doing a walking tour and it was the perfect activity to learn about the city and get ideas for other things to do. Highly recommend!

Very Full Day Tour - Helsinki to Talinn!

This is a fantastic, very full day tour. There's an early pick up to make the ferry to Talinn. The ferry is *huge*. And there's not a lot of seating (at least during Easter week). So we beelined for a room in the 8th deck to grab seats. In Talinn, we had plenty of time to go around and explore. Once the tour was done we had another few hours to eat lunch and explore more before the 2.25 hour ferry back. The ferries are very punctual and boarding closes 30 minutes before.

Great hike and lunch with knowledgeable guide!

The city of Helsinki is just like any big city so I was very happy to see this hike offered. I enjoyed the park and delicious lunch (sausages, squeaky cheese, hand pies) that our guide prepared. We helped chop wood and carry it to the bbq site. Our guide Patrica, was so knowledgeable about the park, wildlife, and local vegetation. 10/10. They thought of everything that we might need to participate. I highly recommend this hike.

Wonderful 2 City Tour

Our guide Finn was excellent. He informed us of the history of Finland from the 12 century thru the present. The country that occupied Finland & their influence on the culture of Finance. The town of Provoo was interesting along with its history. We also visited a number of sites in Helsinki after Provoo. A great day with Finn. Do not miss this experience, highly recommend.

There’s a good mix of walking and sightseeing from the van. Dress in layers depending on the weather. We didn’t get a lunch break - too much to see. There were a couple of places I wish we could have stopped but didn’t. Oh well. All in all a very good tour. It was a good use of time with only a couple of days in Helsinki.

Time spent very well

Sergio is a very knowledgable, warm and patient guide. We were on the tour with kids and they had a lovely time, he was very attentive and responsive to the kids and had answers to all our questions. We absolutely loved the first half of the day spent on the Porvoo & Riverside Old Town Heritage tour. He went out of his way to help us plan the days in Helsinki and address scheduling issues. Would strongly recommend the experience..

Don’t miss Porvoo!

Wonderful outing to Porvoo. Peter was great in explaining important historical Finnish events and added contemporary cultural tidbits along the way. Picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Loved the quaint town of Porvoo. Peter stayed with us offering explanations about the town’s past. We stopped for the famous Runebergintorttu cake and coffee. We ended the tour with a bit of shopping including a stop at the Porvoo chocolate factory/shop of Brunberg! Peter answered all of our questions and was pleased to share his knowledge.

Pleasant day out

The trip worked well. The the Ferry was very busy, which is normal. The breakfast and dinner buffets provided a good choice of foods and beverages. The guide in Tallinn was informative and helpful. A benefit in Tallinn was being driven to the castle at the top, and then being able to walk gently down into the town. The image on the website is misleading as that area is a bar, not the café area. The cabin provided a welcome refuge during the trip both outward and back.

Fantastic, enriching, educational!

We started in PORVOO and is was wonderful. My guide was very well versed in everything you can imagine about this old village. The sites in Helsinki were nice, but the Library! This word being the title no way sums up what is going to blow you mind away. Other countries need to adopt the concept that encapsulates the Helsinki library.
