What are people saying about El Calafate

Beautiful day
The tour was good. It’s a 2.5 hours drive from Calafate to El Chatlen. Our guide was knowledgable and kind. We opted for the harder hike. Great hike. Took us 3.5 hours roundtrip. It was a cloudy day so we didn’t get to see Fitz Roy. We did stop along the way before the hike to get pictures which was nice. We squeezed in the waterfall hike as well. Lunch was good at the Patagonia brewery.

El Calafate must-see
It’s about 8 hours and the weather can be capricious. Sun in El Calafate and rain and fog at the glacier, so be prepared. Once at the glacier you can do a lot of walking at the various colored trails or little if you prefer. There is a cafe and shop at the glacier. Advisable to get the national park tickets ahead of time. Our guide Max and driver Bruno were great. Excellent experience and a must.

Awesome!
This is a wonderful tour and we had an awesome tour guide, Carla was so awesome, she speaks good English and she makes sure she will translate first in English before the Spanish. She is kind and friendly, any questions we have she answers us. She even accompany us all the way to the view point. And we were so lucky, the Fitz Roy mountain should up, the very tip end, it was clear. The El Chalten town is beautiful, it’s kind a of rich town. And the lunch was served it was good!

An unforgettable family experience at Cerro Frías!
We did the excursion in its horseback riding option and the service was impeccable from the first moment. The hotel pickup was super punctual and we enjoyed the trip a lot thanks to the explanations from our driver-guide, who detailed everything we saw along the way. 🚌✨ Upon arriving at the ranch, we began the horseback ride; a beautiful hour-and-a-half route, very relaxed and pleasant, surrounded by stunning landscapes. Our horseback riding guide shared his knowledge about typical tasks, the horses, the vegetation, and the general fauna of the area, remaining attentive to the group's well-being at all times🐴⛰️. We want to especially highlight his dedication and warmth with the oldest and the youngest in the family. Since they had no prior experience, he managed to make them feel safe and enjoy the activity to the fullest. We ended the day with a delicious lunch at the ranch's restaurant. 🍽️😋. It is a highly recommended excursion to do as a family; children and older adults can do it without any issues. Since it is a very calm route, if the group already has experience with horseback riding, it might be worth asking about an option with greater difficulty. Thank you so much to the whole team for giving us such a lovely memory of our vacation! 🙌❤️
