This is the BEST way to see and feel part of the Venetian community from an insider perspective. Away from the crowds Venice is relaxed, friendly and welcoming. Local shopkeepers in bars and food shops happy to help. The pace was relaxed. My wonderful guide quickly checked out my interests- walking, history, beautiful architecture and art, Botany, real stories and people and food. My guide Syed was incredibly well informed and the tour was one of the best I have been on

Jack was a tremendous guide for our walking tour if Venice. We have not had a better guide! We started at St Mark’ square and wondered up to and across the Rialto bridge and then back. Make sure you ask for Jack.

Jack was an excellent guide. Only having a limited time in Venice, he gave us a great overview and provided many good insights into the culture and inner workings of the various districts. We had booked a private walking tour and then asked Viator to change it to another experience as my husband had an issue with his leg. They were not at all flexible and did not accommodate my request. Then at the date and time of the tour no one appeared. We had to rush our lunch so we will be on time, but our guide did not appear and was not answering our calls. Totally unprofessional and disappointing. After I contacted the support they offered another guide to start one and a half hour later something that changed our plans for the afternoon. Nevertheless Majid our new guide was super polite, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. I would recommend him!

Our tour guide, Sneh, had several years of local experience in Venice, yet spoke English well. He not only walked us through many of the great spots to visit while in Venice, but he also explained the layout, the neighborhoods, and gave us additional insights that were great for our time there.

It was a great walking experience. Be ready to walk a lot. I liked seeing behind the scenes and hearing some of the history instead of rhetoric usual tourist spots. Cecilia was a wonderful guide!

Fari brought us on a guided tour of the lesser known Venetian sestieri (neighbourhoods). We started at the Jewish Ghetto and walked through Cannaregio, Castello and ended in Arsenale. Fari is a very informative and interesting tour guide. His english is excellent. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see a more local Venice.

What a wonderful way to see the non touristy places of Venice. Nicolleta was excellent and answered all our questions about every Venetian subject we discussed from food, history, current culture. She communicated with us prior to the tour and also helped us right before the tour when we missed our water taxi stop. She understood my husbands walking difficulties and took time with us. If you want to see and really learn about Venice this tour is for you.

We booked this tour on our first day in Venice. Our guide Farid was excellent and very knowledgeable. He reached out to us before our tour and wanted to know what we were interested in seeing. He was able to customize the tour based on our interests. He showed us popular tourist attractions as well as less known sites. This is a great way to get an overview of Venice and an understanding of the city’s history.
