What are people saying about Palermo

I cannot recommend...
I cannot recommend Francesca’s cooking class enough. Not only is the food delicious, but her company is even better! Our group of four had the best time learning from Francesca and getting to know one another. Her passion for food and cooking is easy to spot! While the location is a bit outside of Palermo, it is well worth the short drive. Francesca even helped arrange transportation for our return to the city. Thank you, Francesca, for sharing this with us! 11/10 would recommend!

Fantastic Class!
Fabulous class! Patrizia is wonderful! She met us at the market where we picked out our items to make. Walked to her lovely home which is warm and inviting. The food, amazing! We cooked, drank wine and had great conversation. The recipes were really good, the pesto we made was my favorite, very different then Pesto we are used to. The stuffed squid was just delicious. Wonderful experience!

Learning about cooking the Sicilian way
It was a special evening with Andreas and his wife. These dinners at their home are their passion. We were made to feel comfortable from the start. We all got to help with the process of making our dinner. Stories were shared about all our personal cultures, We drank some wine, learned about the ingredients and cooking techniques, had a beautiful dinner that we all helped to make, and in the sharing the world was made a bit smaller. I’d definitely recommend this class

Salvo 🙌🏻
We had a phenomenal experience with Salvo! We were fortunate to have him all to ourselves for our market tour and class. The market was opening a little late due to the august summer “vacations” so we started the morning with prep. About 2 hours in we got to tour the market. Salvo knew many people at the market and explained all of the various ingredients local to Sicily and what’s in season. We even got a few samples from the local vendors to try some staple dishes. After the market we returned to finish up our dishes. Salvo is extremely knowledgeable and talented! We had great conversation all day about Sicily, food, his experience working in various kitchens and his family. The food turned out amazing and we are so happy we got a digital book with the steps and ingredients needed to replicate at home. This was a highlight of our trip. Thank you salvo!

An amazing, intimate...
An amazing, intimate experience unlike any other. Carlo welcomed us into his home as if it were ours and exceeded all expectations. Beyond the food being amazing, his hospitality was very much appreciated considering the heat we were in. Would 110% recommend this experience to anyone visiting Sicily!

An unforgettable cooking class in an intimate charming kitchen
Chef was incredible!! We mulled over many options, when booking our Palermo cooking class. Neither one of us know how to make pasta, or cook very much at all, so we were leaning towards a more generic class in a restaurant. We ended up deciding on this one (very last minute, mind you) based on the Chef’s excellent reviews. He did NOT disappoint! Not only was the instruction thorough and thoughtful; he entertained us throughout the way, with music and story telling that caused for great self reflection and laughter. Best cooking class we’ve ever had- we will be back, in the event that another Palermo trip is in our future. Thanks again, Chef!

The real deal! Great pasta in a home kitchen
Pasta making with Francesca was absolutely lovely! She taught us 3 different pastas and sauces, at a good pace that kept everyone engaged and enjoying the class. We really did cook it all ourselves, and then we ate it all! Everything was fantastic. We brought the leftovers home and had it again for dinner the next day. Our group was age 7 to 50+ and we all had a great time.

My sister-in-law and I...
My sister-in-law and I took this cooking class on our cruise stop in Palermo! Alice and Fernando were gracious hosts and shared their love of Sicilian cooking with us. We made eggplant meatballs, pasta, Sicilain pesto and a dessert. As they taught, they shared how sicilan dishes are differnt than other regions of Italy. They are lovely people and we enjoyed our casual conversation over the meal we shared. I would highly recommend them!

Would absolutely recommend!
Maria Giulia was a wonderfully welcoming host for myself, sister, and father from start to finish. She did an excellent job teaching each of us how to prepare ravioli. The food was delicious, the conversation was fun, and we had such a memorable experience learning a traditional Italian dish together.
