Unlike traditional Ferris wheels with their single, simple circles, the Golden Reel draws inspiration from Hollywood blockbuster disaster scenes. Architects designed the track as two overlapping “8”s, creating the illusion of a massive steel planet tearing through the sky and wedging itself between two towers.
