Great tour! Tour guide was terrific!

Helsinki was the first stop on our Nordic/Scandinavian adventure. Our tour guide was engaging, funny and very knowledgeable and gave us an amazing walking tour of Helsinki’s major sites. He also gave us a few recommendations for some food choices, which were fantastic suggestions because we visited them after the tour was over. Highly recommend this tour. You won’t be disappointed.

I was surprised at how...

I was surprised at how big the ferry is, it is like a cruise ship. Food quality on board was very good. Credit cards won’t be accepted from 1 October on board was, which I was told when I bought my lunch. The walking tour of Old Town was excellent, our guide Julia was very knowledgeable and funny.

Best way to see Suomenlinna Sea Fortress.

This was a great tour, and our guide, Sergio was wonderful. I appreciated his knowledge of the area and interesting insights. Our driver, Pekka, was also very helpful and fun to talk to. We saw a lot of the key sights in Helsinki, the highlight being the trip to the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress. It was historically interesting and so beautiful. Sergio was able to fill us in with the history of the island made the tour well worth it. I definitely recommend this tour as a way to see Helsinki points of interest and to learn a bit about the city and country of Finland as well.

Such a wonderful experience! The entire process was seamless and so well organized. I especially appreciated that the tour operator even arranged an Uber to pick me up and take me to the meeting point—such a thoughtful touch! A big thank you to Lukas for being a fantastic guide and for showing me around Finland and Sumerian. Despite the weather, he kept things fun, engaging, and enjoyable throughout. Always a treat for your mind and taste buds.

Always a treat doing the food experiences as I travel to European cities, if they are offered. Not only learning about food, you get other bits thrown in, such as local history, modern lifestyle, city architecture, etc. I get more reinforced information I hear from other tours and travelers in random conversations brought up on food tours. For this one in Helsinki, pepparkoker cookies started off the afternoon followed by grazing on reindeer and moose sausage, local beer sampling, salmon and whitefish, the Finnish classics of longeda and salmon soup and the finale of apple pie with ice cream.

Great time in the woods, the sauna, and the lake!

Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the combination of an easy going hike, lunch prepared for us in the woods, and Finnish sauna/lake jumping, made for a great day! I highly recommend this experience if you want a taste of the flora of Finland, and an authentic sauna. The hike is fairly flat for most of it, with a few small inclines and some roots and rocks here and there. They accommodated my dietary request for lunch as well.

Great Walking Tour of Helsinki with a great Tour Guide!

This is a GREAT tour - we saw the whole city, learned a lot and it was a great walk! But it all starts with the tour guide and he was the BEST! Our tour guide was EERO - and he was personable, FULL of wisdom and history of Helsinki. This tour was very informative - we visited most of what was listed on the tour schedule and saw a few stops that were not. But this certainly was a great tour - and a lot of this is because of our guide - EERO! Well worth the price of admission - this is a very affordable tour!

Helsinki in a day

Ed our guide was brilliant. He took us to places we would not have even thought of including the Oodie library which was such an eye opener and what all libraries should be. Helsinki is a lovely city with friendly and obliging people. Our tour included the sea fortress of Suomenlinna with a long history and well worth a visit.

Good day trip to see a beautiful old town!

The ferry is a very unique experience if you haven't been on a huge cruise liner before, but it gets boring after a while so bring something to keep you occupied for the entire duration (5h to and fro). Once we were in Tallinn, our guide Sergei was extremely knowledgeable, jovial and in general, made the 2 hour walking tour a very enjoyable and engaging experience. We had free time from 2:30 PM to 4:55 PM. If you are quick to have lunch and get some souvenirs, you will still have over an hour available which you will need to kill some way. Be prepared.

An educational and relaxing tour

The town is very worth seeing. History markers plus our guide’s informative comments were great. I travel to learn, so shopping and eating are mot my priority. But Porvoo has both, too. I loved the gentle waters lined with old structures, and the abundant summer wildflowers along the walk. A nice no-hurry outing. There is a lot of cobblestone walking, and hill climbing, so be aware.

Helsinki cruise stop.

Perfect day in Helsinki and Porvoo thanks to Sergio. We were met at the port on time and then had the best day in Helsinki. Cruise stops give you the best of, and today was perfect. Porvoo was beautiful and very quaint and lovely. Our driver Michael met us at port on time in super clean Porsche and was the best driver. The day was amazing and will be back for a longer stay thanks to Sergio!!
