An Unforgettable First Snorkeling Experience in Bora Bora!

This was my very first time snorkeling and my first time swimming in the ocean, so I was naturally quite nervous, even with a life jacket on. But this tour completely blew me away and turned out to be the absolute highlight of my trip! Our guide, Evans, was simply amazing. Knowing how scared I was, he held onto my life ring and pulled me along for the entire second and third snorkel spots. Because of his incredible patience and care, I was able to relax and see majestic blacktip reef sharks swimming right beneath me! It was a breathtaking, magical experience. The Snorkeling Spots: First Spot (Shallow water): Perfect for starting out. We spotted stingrays, blacktip sharks, and lots of colorful little fish. Second Spot (Deep water, ~10 meters): The water here was crystal clear—a pure, transparent shade of blue. There were so many blacktip sharks that it felt like swimming right inside a giant aquarium! Third Spot (Coral Garden): A stunning underwater paradise filled with gorgeous corals and vibrant fish. More Than Just Snorkeling: Along the way, our guides made the boat ride so much fun. They played the ukulele, sang live music, and pointed out the local resorts and the main pass—the only opening into the Bora Bora lagoon. A Delicious Motu Lunch: After our morning adventure, we headed to a private motu for an incredible buffet lunch featuring local dishes. The coconut milk fish was out of this world—truly the best I’ve ever had, even better than the food at our resort! The pumpkin pudding was equally delicious. A wonderful eco-friendly touch: our food was served on plates woven entirely out of fresh leaves! During lunch, Evans and our other guide treated us to live music, playing the ukulele and singing with the biggest, most joyful smiles on their faces. Their infectious happiness rubbed off on all of us and left a permanent mark on my heart. To top it all off, they even gave us a demonstration on how to weave leaf plates, open coconuts, and shared all the amazing ways the coconut tree is used ("a tree of life"). Wonderful day at BoraBora

We had an amazing full-day tour in Bora Bora and would highly recommend it! The morning ATV tour was so much fun. We rode up the mountain for breathtaking views of the lagoon and the volcanic crater. Our guide explained how the islands were formed, showed us a vanilla plantation, and took us to visit WWII cannons. The off-road section was especially exciting and made the ride even more memorable. After finishing ATV tour, we went jet skiing and got to experience the incredible shades of blue that make Bora Bora so famous. We stopped at a beautiful motu for lunch. I especially loved the poisson cru with coconut milk, and when the kitchen staff found out how much I enjoyed it, they kindly made me another fresh serving. It was such a thoughtful gesture! After lunch, the Polynesian dance performance was fantastic. Guests were invited to join in, and everyone had so much fun dancing together. The guides were incredibly nice, patient, and professional throughout the day. Everything was well organized, and we had an unforgettable experience from start to finish. This is definitely one of the best ways to experience Bora Bora. Highly recommended!

We started off by sailing to a reef where we snorkled followed by sailing to a sandbar where Gabby and John set up a great little floating bar with a unique view of the mountain. Great Time!

We had a great time on our jet ski tour and would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a fun way to experience Bora Bora. The experience started with a boat picking us up directly from our hotel, which made everything very easy and convenient. Once we arrived, we were fitted with life jackets and given what looked like newer, well-maintained jet skis. There were four jet skis total in our group, with two people on each, so it never felt overcrowded. Our guide was friendly, patient, and helpful throughout the tour, making sure everyone was comfortable before heading out. One thing to know is that this is a fairly fast-paced ride. We covered a lot of water at high speeds, which was a blast for us, but it's something to keep in mind if you're traveling with younger children or anyone who isn't very adventurous! The only part that was a little underwhelming was the snack break. It consisted of a glass of local juice and a piece of local bread, so don't expect much if you're arriving hungry. Overall, the scenery was incredible, the equipment was excellent, and the tour was well organized. We'd absolutely do it again!

No nonsense, just spectacular snorkeling

Not a lot of frills, but you won’t miss them because the snorkeling is so good. I’ve been on snorkel cruises on catamarans with 30 or more guests, where you all end up in a tight crowd of life jackets and flippers, fighting to glimpse a few parrotfish or a lone sea turtle. This tour is on a small boat with maybe 10-ish people max, so you have plenty of elbow room in the water to make your own way (and no cumbersome life jacket required). The two locations are unbeatable — a close encounter with dozens of sharks and rays, followed by a meander through a coral labyrinth of more colorful lagoon-dwelling species than I could count. Absolutely spectacular. On the boat between the two spots, we circled some spinner dolphins jumping in the surf. And later our diver and guide serenaded us with ukulele and singing before the return trip.

If you could pick...

Great Snorkeling Visit to Bora Bora

This was a tour we booked for our cruise ship stop in Bora Bora in early June 2026. Malakai was our guide and boat captain and did a great job with both. He was very energetic, friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He was a real life Maui from Moana, and took good care of us. On the tour, we stopped to snorkel and see sting rays and blacktip sharks. At another snorkeling stop, we saw beautiful coral. He also provided us with a boat tour around the island of Bora Bora showing us the airport and the various overwater bungalow locations. Throughout the tour he regaled us with several singing and ukulele performances. This was a great tour.

We had such a fun time...

We had such a fun time doing the helmet dive activity. It was a great alternative to scuba diving since we're not certified for that. We saw so many varieties of fish and even got up close to a sting ray. In fact, we were able to touch it. The staff went over a safety briefing before we went in the water and were super friendly and helpful. Would recommend this activity.
