What are people saying about Williamsburg

Extremely interesting. ...
Extremely interesting. Patrick had an extensive background knowledge of both the Williamsburg area and of centuries of historical events that took place here. A guide who can hold the rapt attention of a 14-year-old for 90 minutes is worth his weight in gold, and Patrick did just that!

DC in a Day!
On a whim, I purchased tickets for our family with children, to tour DC for the day. We have no regrets! Matt was amazing from start to finish, learning our children’s names the moment they got on the bus, engaging with them through the day, putting a movie on that was family-friendly on the way back, and even returning a forgotten souvenir to us (when I say he went the extra mile, I mean it literally and figuratively!). Additionally, he was full of knowledge and everyone learned so much. If you want to see a little bit of a lot, without the stress of navigating a busy city, this is the tour for you. We left DC having walked through Arlington, checked out many monuments and memorials, and getting some time to go into one of the Smithsonian museums on our own. We saw still more at a distance and heard engaging stories and history all throughout the day. It truly was a great experience for all of us, and I highly recommend it!
Note: I would not recommend this for children under 7, as this is a very long day (15+ hours from start to finish). For the enjoyment of everyone involved, I’d stick with older children, especially those with a love of history.

Bus tour with Matt. Jamestown and Yorktown.
Our guide was Matt. The entire experience was wonderful. It seemed every few minutes we learned something new that we never knew before. I love history, but he kept introducing new concepts that we never knew before. He’s a very special man. I highly recommend him. It gave us faith that this country has been through challenging times and has come back.

Informative and a great deal for the $$$.
Very informative! Cool things to see that you won't see anywhere else! Elizabeth knows so many amazing historical facts and her crush on Patrick Henry is so sweet! You'll walk and stand a lot but there are moments for sitting and ability to buy cold drinks along the way (or bring your own). Worth noting because it was quite warm the day we went. Colonial Williamsburg and the founding of our nation are so worthwhile and this is a great way to learn and a good deal for the cost. Have fun!

Best day ever!
We loved everything!! Cyndi was extremely knowledgeable about Williamsburg and Colonial America. She was a pleasure to spend a beautiful afternoon in Williamsburg. She was very accommodating to our schedule. (I made a mistake with the booking and she was able to fix my mistake). She was very accommodating with the needs of my older parents. I cannot recommend Cyndi more to experience Williamsburg and other historical locations across Virginia.

07Apr3026 Jamestown Tour
It was really nice to have a private tour guide who could tailor your experience. We found that it was good to have someone take you through the Jamestown museum and highlight important displays and facts. She was very knowledgeable and presented information in a logical manner that was easy to follow.

Private beats a crowd.
While my wife and I were taking the tour with our wonderful and knowledgeable guide Will, I noticed the following.
There was a crowd of around 30 people surrounding a “group” tour guide. He was shouting, no doubt, so everyone in the crowd could hear.
I knew I made the right choice, right then and there.

Great way to see the historic triangle!
It was great to have the unlimited opportunities to revisit the sites because when one is traveling with kids, smaller chunks of time can be much more effective than a longer chunk of time. The living history portions were great for kids and adults alike, and I highly recommend the experience.

Enlightened ⛴️🛶
My friend and I enjoyed this well-needed, enriched excursion in Williamsburg, VA. We left our tour more knowledgeable and aware about our taken away by ships ethnicity in USA and the question 'why'? was answered. Lonnie is awesome explaining this American history at its inception of slavery! This tour is highly recommended!

A Ghostly Good Time!!
Austin is a fantastic guide! The haunted tour was entertaining and he provided us with a vast variety of historical ghostly information! His detailed story telling and self evidence drew everyone in and held us there! We couldn't wait to see what we could also capture!! We used the EMF detector, which was productive in our efforts. We encourage anyone taking this tour to also rent the EMF detectors! Austin encouraged the group to take photos while the EMF detectors would react to possible surrounding energy. He didn't rush the group from one point to another. If we were getting readings or pictures, he let us take as much time as we needed. Nobody was left behind! Austin was also helpful in telling the group how to best take photos to catch energy or entities. We cannot wait to get home and check all of our pictures on the computer to see if we captured anything interesting! We've taken ghost tours in other historical locations, and THIS tour was one of the best! Thank you, Austin!!

Terrific ghost tour with...
Terrific ghost tour with Lisa! Loved the restaurants we visited for a beer all while seeing historic Williamsburg. The experience was even spookier, with a huge thunderstorm erupting, while we were touring the graveyard near the historic church. We saw a light turn in a window with organ music playing in the church building. Learned about so many historic events!

You get a lot of history...
You get a lot of history about Williamsburg that isn't in history books. The tour guide very knowledgeable about the ghost in Williamsburg. He really immersed us the culture of ghost stories and story telling. Must recommend and did get a picture of ghost peeking out of window.

Williamsburg, Virginia, might be known for its colonial history, but the diversity of Williamsburg tours might surprise you. Step back in time at Colonial Williamsburg, where costumed interpreters bring the 18th century to life. Explore the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown and the historic Jamestown Settlement. Hunt for ghosts in the historic district or cruise along the James River. For family fun, visit Busch Gardens theme park.
