Best Tour
Carmel was awesome! He took us to so many locations and even took us to a few stops we had seen online and asked him about. He was super knowledgeable and very helpful with my grandmother who has mobility issues too. If you are looking for a tour guide definitely book with him.

Great effort but didn't wow me or my friends.
The tour guide was great. The weather didn't help. The boats didn't work but when she found out they did it was too late. So many coaches did the same tour so certain places overcrowded. The tour wasn't expensive but I would rather spend more and have a quality experience.

Great Tour with Carmel
We had an excellent day with our driver Carmel. He was born in Malta and has extensive knowledge of the island. He is very friendly and catered to all our needs. Highly recommended!

Great tour of prehistoric Malta
A well organized tour given by a very knowledgeable guide. She was pleasant and helpful, ready to answer any question. And eager to adjust the tour to our pace.

Excellent tour of the Blue Grotto and prehistoric Temples
Our guide Cynthia was very knowledgeable, informative, friendly.and accommodating. She was enthusiastic in explaining the history of Malta as well as all the historic temples we toured. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with her and highly recommend booking and taking the prehistoric temples and Blue Grotto tour with her. You will not be disappointed.

Maria was great. We had...
Maria was great. We had plenty of time at each location. A reasonable fitness level is required for the walk to the boat tour and into the village from the bus drop off point. It was a very memorable day. I recommend this tour.

This tour was amazing....
This tour was amazing. Our guide Lisa was very friendly and even if we were a big group, everything went smoothly. We had enough time to visit everything we wanted.

Great tour with extra info on Maltese architecture
Carmel arrived promptly in a large, well-maintained van. We saw all the major highlights on the main island of Malta along with several unusual spots that Carmel has knowledge of as a result of his ties to Malta’s movie industry. Carmel is particularly knowledgeable about the architecture of the area and pointed out buildings and details that we would not have recognized on our own. Malta’s roads are narrow and winding and Carmel expertly navigated them. We were very happy that he was driving rather than us!

Beyond expectations
Cynthia was a fantastic guide. She gave a great history of the areas we visited and tailored the itinerary based on our interests, in many cases showing us spots that weren’t heavily visited by tourists. We spent a perfect amount of time at each location. I especially appreciate Cynthia’s extra attention to ensure my elderly mother was picked up and dropped off as close to each location as possible. We saw way more than expected and highly recommend Cynthia as a guide!

A very pleasant Luzzu experience
A very pleasant half-day tour if a little tight on time at the destinations. Blue Grotto visit is only possible by boat (and, of course, in appropriate sea conditions!): €10pp extra payable in cash at the quayside. Certainly worth it, we thought, to explore the several sea caves under the cliffs with their eponymous bright waters. (Otherwise, just a pleasant little harbour with a few colourful luzzijiet.) Although without compromising safety, the little boats were packed with passengers, and those sitting in front or at the side had the better experience and the greater ease of photography. Marsaxlokk (South Port) still very much a picturesque fishing village (despite the power station on the seaward skyline!) with an extensive fish market of small stallholders selling all kinds of catch, and with traditional, colourful luzzijiet with their eyes of Horus still very much in evidence amongst the other vessels - the only place on the island, it seems, with such a traditional scene today. The Sunday market was much more that just a fish market - and very crowded with locals and tourists. The tour allowed just enough time to visit the market and to grab a pleasant fish lunch at a quayside restaurant. Mark facilitated the visits well and provided some interesting commentary not only on the destinations but on other aspects of Maltese life whilst we were travelling aboard the bus.

Carmel and his partner...
Carmel and his partner were incredibly warm and friendly. Although Malta was just one stop on our cruise itinerary, it ended up being one of the most memorable experiences of the entire trip. The Blue Grotto was absolutely breathtaking, and Carmel also went out of his way to recommend other great spots. We highly recommend choosing Carmel—you won’t regret it.

Carmelo is a good driver, knows the area and shared a lot of history with us. His flexibility was appreciated.
Our guide Carmelo was very informative! He was flexible when we wanted to see things not on our original itinerary.

Be sure to wear a lifejacket while on a boat, and be aware that the walk down to the boats in the harbor is steep.
Before descending to the harbor, stop and enjoy the panoramic view that includes a large limestone arch.
Boats to the Blue Grotto will not run if the sea is too rough.
Scuba diving is available from Wied Iz-Zurrieq.
