This is a great way to learn about the history of Houston and to get some exercise. We will enter buildings from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1970s, 1980s, and 2020s. We will walk over 5,000 steps. This is a moderate walk on level ground in air-conditioned and heated tunnels. These are the most clean and pristine public tunnels in all of the US. We will be stopping about every 5 minutes to look at and go into 7 to 11 buildings. These are safe and well-illuminated. In the summer of 2023, Accuweather and the local Channel 13/ABC affiliate interviewed me about these tunnel tours for activities to do on hot and humid days when you do not want to be outside.

This tour only has 1 stop: Space Center Houston (SCH). SCH is connected to NASA or the Johnson Space Center (JSC), where the astronauts train and the engineers work. We will walk over 5,000 steps at SCH as I plan on showing as much as possible in the main building and in the additional buildings, Rocket Park and the Astronauts Training Facility, where the trams take tourists. I will talk a lot about the space program, tying the past to the present, and future explorations.

This tour is between 7 and 8 hours long. The wineries are about a 1 hour drive from Houston. During this hour of commute, we will see the terrain geography change. We will leave the urban cement and buildings for rolling meadows, horses and cows grazing, and small country homes, farms, and barns. You may also see more pine trees than in Houston. We will pass by small villages and towns.

Lunch is at the Monument Inn Restaurant with a terrific view overlooking the Houston Ship Channel. It goes through Houston, Pasadena, Galena Park, La Porte, Lynchburg, and sometimes Deer Park. If you like, we will stop at the original site of Houston's founding and the port of Houston from 1836 to 1914, Allen's Landing.

This tour is the most inclusive Holiday Lights Tours that is offered with multiple stops to see the greatest variety of holiday lights.

Will bring 2 or 3 videos to watch during the tour. I will have maps and population tables of the past 150 years. I will bring 4 books to peruse about African-American Texans, African-American Houstonians, The Green Book, and lastly a booklet about Memorial Park, where the biggest race riot in Texas took place in 1917. I will also play hit songs by local African-Americans from the 1960s and 1970s. You will have lots of stimuli. This tour covers portions of the 3rd and 4th Wards and southeast Houston beyond the Wards. It includes a variety of disparate Black communities that are spread across Houston. We will drive over 25 miles within the city.

This tour is for the guest looking to spend some quality time with baby goats! Come meet the entire goat herd at Grapetown Vineyard and any newborn babies.
