A great day out

Enjoyed this all-day excursion into the Andes. Starting off with wine tasting, InSitu Winery is a delightful and picturesque place to sample a red and a white. The we were off on Route 60 up the 29 hairpin curves to Portillo Hotel and the Inca Lagoon. This is truly an amazing experience. Finally we stopped for empanadas and to admire the llamas and a donkey. Pablo our guide was excellent and switched effortlessly between Spanish and English during his interesting commentaries. I thoroughly recommend this tour.

Stunning Andes

This tour was absolutely incredible! I’ll start by saying it’s not for everyone—but if you have an adventurous spirit, you’re going to love every second of it. Jamie picked us up right on time in a comfortable 4WD that easily fit our group of four, along with another lovely couple. The drive up into the Andes alone was an adventure—scenic, exciting, and a great lead-up to what was to come. The hot springs are rustic, but truly stunning. We were lucky enough to have snow falling while we were soaking, which made the experience feel completely magical. Afterward, we headed to a charming, authentic German-style lodge for a BBQ. Walking in to an open fire with Chilean wine and pisco sours waiting for us was the perfect touch. The food was fantastic—and there was plenty of it! The hospitality from everyone involved was warm and genuine. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this tour. Sitting in the hot springs high in the Andes was an unforgettable highlight—truly a wonderful experience.

Solid experience! The communication was impeccable. We got approximate pick up times the day before and more precise times the evening before. The pick up was within minutes of the approximated time. What an amazing experience! Francisco definitely made the day entertaining, educational to the area, and showed us so much! We weren’t planning a return trip, but he told us so many other things to do in Chile. We will be back! We only were in Santiago 2 days. This was the best day trip we could have selected!

This day tour to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar from Santiago was an excellent experience and one I would highly recommend. From the start, everything was well organized, with convenient hotel pick-up and drop-off. Transportation was in a modern, comfortable van. A big highlight of the tour was our guide, Pablo. He was charismatic, funny, and clearly very knowledgeable, striking a great balance between keeping the group entertained and providing interesting context about the places we visited. Valparaíso itself was absolutely beautiful, with its colourful hills and unique character, definitely a standout destination. Viña del Mar felt more like and afterthought but complemented the day nicely with a different, more polished coastal atmosphere. The wine tasting was a nice addition to the itinerary, although it did feel a bit rushed. Overall, this was a very well-run tour that offered great value for money, between the excellent guide, comfortable transport, and the quality of the destinations.

Fabulous trip to the west coast + wine tasting

This was a great a fast way to see the Pacific coast from Viña del Mar and Valparaiso. Our guide Ramsés the 12th, was very knowledgable and provided a lot of information and background information + much useful tips for our stay in Chili. If you want to see a glimpse of the 2 cities and the coast, I highly recommend this tour

Our day had an early...

Our day had an early start, with pick up scheduled for 6:10am. There were several stops as listed in the description. We really enjoyed the lake (simply beautiful and a nice walk) and lunch the most. We were driven expertly to each stop with nice explanation from Francisco who had excellent English skills. The stop at the end with the cultural dancers, now has a young brother-sister couple doing the dances. The game after the demonstration was similar to musical chairs with participants grabbing wine bottles instead of sitting on chairs and rolling in the dust to grab the bottle, which seemed childish to us. My husband had a strong allergic reaction to a fellow passenger wearing A LOT of cologne. We highly recommend that the tour company ask passengers to refrain from using products with a strong smell to prevent this issue. There are 20 people in very close proximity in a van. Francisco handled the issue by taking our concerns seriously and letting us sit in the front seats next to an open window with air flowing through the vehicle, which helped.

Great Overview of Santiago

This was a great overview of the interesting sights in Santiago. We rode the whole circuit without getting off until the end. Then we rode the cable car up and the funicular down to the place where we started. One draw back is that there are no signs on the street so it is a little bit difficult to find the stops. You have to play close attention to the intersections on the map. Although the buses seemed to be infrequent, we were able to get on without a long wait. The man who greeted us and announced the stops was very helpful. We felt that we were able to see a lot and have a fulfilling day given our limited time in Santiago. The cable car and funicular were a highlight.
