Our guide was superb! Hermo made us feel comfortable throughout our Andean Mountain experience. We are senior citizens so going up around 10,000 feet requires more patience and understanding and Hermo fully accommodated our need to walk a little slower and to ensure we were safe. We absolutely were in awe of the spectacular views and seeing the Andean Condor. Having a nice lunch snack with Chilean wine made this day even more special! I highly recommend this trip, it is worth every penny!

He picked us up on time, accommodated all our needs, and gave us the extraordinary opportunity to see the impressive Andes, as well as several condor sightings. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough!… words can’t capture the serenity and beauty of our lunch spot where he laid out delicious snacks and a luscious red wine. Nickolas is very knowledge and responded to every question with additional information. The tour was high altitude with minimal unpaved roads. Our wine and cheese picnic was located overlooking a splendid valley where a juvenile condor sored approximately 10 meters above us!

Nicolas was a great guide. He pointed out interesting things along the way to the ski resorts where we saw multiple Andean Condor. The flowers along the way were beautiful The view spot he picked for the wine and cheese break was breathtaking. His attention to detail was excellent. We highly recommend this tour

We didn’t have much time in Santiago and were really glad we chose to do this tour in the little time we had. The drive up from the city was great, the views were beautiful, and our tour guide, Nicholas, was a wealth of knowledge. We had the privilege of seeing several condors as well as other wildlife. Gorgeous views of Condors in the Andes!

This tour was amazing! Daniel, our guide, was knowledgeable and friendly—-and an amazing driver on the curvy roads of the Andes Mountains! We went to ski resort area about an hour outside of Santiago. Because this is the start of the fall season, there was no snow and it was not open. But it was a perfect place to see condors! We had hoped to see 1-2 but saw about a dozen—some of which flew right over us! It was thrilling!

Perfect Day in The Andes

We had the most wonderful trip today with Nicholas, such a beautiful soul, so interesting and knowledgeable about his country. We saw the majestic Andes on a beautiful day, we were even lucky enough to see some Condors in flight. We had a fabulous picnic in the midst of the Andes. We would highly recommend Nicholas to anyone looking to tour whilst in Santiago. Our only regret is that we are not in Santiago long enough to spend more time with Nicholas ❤️

Highly recommended Andean experience

This was a great experience- our guide Camilo was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. The tour itself was fantastic- we made several stops on our way to admire the valley the city sits in as well as the Andes from different viewpoints. The views from the Valle Nevado resort was incredible and was the first place we got to see Andean Condors relatively close. On the way back we stopped for a great lunch of local cheeses and wine overlooking the valley and again got to see condors drifting on the currents above us. An absolutely memorable experience and one I would highly recommend.

If I could give this tour a 10, I would. Absolutely spectacular experience. We had a great tour of so many beautiful spots in the Andes. Nicolas, our driver was very personable and knowledgeable. He picked us up at our hotel, took us on the tour, provided a tasty snack with Chilean wine and waters, cheeses, crackers, chips, olives, and a peanut mix. It wS the experience of a lifetime to have this picnic in a stunning location where we could watch the condors. I highly recommend this tour, Absolutely the best experience I had in Santiago. He went above and beyond. There were only 4 of us on the tour, so he had the opportunity to answer all our questions and tailor it to our interests. He willingly made photo stops for us. Absolutely the very best.

Highly recommended tour of the Andes and to watch Condors

A fantastic way to spend a few hours out of the city, and take in the majestic splendour of the Andes that are just on the doorstep. The drive up to the top of the mountains was thrilling in itself with plenty of opportunity to stop and take in the sights. At the top of the mountains, we had the honour of being able to watch condors flying by us, then this was finished off with a fabulous wine and cheese picnic at a fabulous viewpoint. We had a fabulous guide, who was very knowledgeable and great to talk to. Everyone in the group enjoyed the tour, and we would all recommend it.

Best Day Ever with Nicholas

Where to begin? We booked this tour last minute after our original tour was canceled, and boy, are we glad we did! Nicholas met us at our hotel, and we were quite surprised that it was just going to be the three of us on our tour up to the ski resorts at Valle Nevado, which were surprisingly just outside of Santiago. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and got to see the sun starting to rise over the mountains as we wound our way up to the top. Nicholas told us about the area and how people bike up the mountain for exercise as we passed a few on the way. We stopped and were able to see some horses grazing on some of the slopes on our way up also. Being the off-season, there was no snow or ice on the ground, making the trip to the top surprisingly quick, but we were well acclimated by the time we got to the top. I was floored to see that we were 3,000 meters high or 9,842 feet above sea level. We parked at the ski resort area, which is comprised of two large hotels and some condominiums, and the first thing we saw was a beautiful fox crossing the parking lot, not seeming to mind that we were there. Because it was off-season, we were the only people there save for some of the workers that keep the buildings running. Nicholas told us about the condors that frequent the area, and after a few minutes, we saw several of them perching on the top of one of the hotels. After giving us some perspective on these majestic birds, we climbed a little further above the resorts to get some great views of the majestic mountain peaks in the distance, and Nicholas pointed out the glacier near one of the peaks. He told us the incredible story of the Incan Child and let us take all the time we wanted. He readily took photos whenever we asked and ensured we had everything we needed. We then looked back on the valley where the condors were circling the area, looking for food. As we headed back to the car, and after taking many photos and taking in the calm serenity of the area, we saw even more condors joining their search for a meal. We ended up spotting about 10-12 condors, which Nicholas told us was the most he had seen in his many years of giving guided tours up the mountain. The tour could have ended there, and we would have been delighted, but there was one more surprise awaiting us. As we left the resort area, we headed back down the road, but as we were about 800 feet below the resort, Nicholas took us off-road to the top of a cliff that overlooked the valley, where he started setting up a terrific picnic with wine, cheese, and snacks so we could all enjoy and take in the beauty of the area. We were even able to see the city of Santiago in the distance! We talked, and Nicholas didn’t mind that I was able to mix into the conversation my rusty Spanish, learned so many years ago in high school and college. We talked about our different worlds, our families, our pets, and the overall beauty of the surroundings. Overall, it was an amazing day, one of the very best we’ve ever had. It felt like we were the only people in the whole world at that moment, and the entire tour was more than we could ever have imagined. We highly, highly recommend this tour and especially Nicholas as your guide. Five stars for sure!

Memorable Andes Experience

This is a must do excursion when visiting Chile. Our tour guide Nicholas arrived to our hotel on time for the schedule. His car is clean and he made sure that our water is always replenished. The views in each of our 3 stops are breathtaking. We learned so much about Andes mountains and Chilean culture. Highest point we reached was 3000 meters above sea level. The tour concluded with an unforgettable wine and cheese snack overlooking the views from Andes mountain before head back to our hotel. Every item on our nicely dressed picnic table tastes so good. That includes the red wine. Thank you for this memorable experience.

Our tour guide Camilla was terrific . She was very knowledgeable and was able to tell us about the Andes , the plants , trees and animals. The highlight was when she took us to see the condors in flight , the most memorable experience .
