What makes our activity unique is that it is born from a family and shared history, in which tradition and passion for Chilean cuisine were transformed into a cultural experience. My sister and I created it with dedication, organizing events and tastings to promote local products and discover the history of our cuisine. She, a chef and journalist, was instrumental as a creator and culinary soul, bringing all her talent to the kitchen. For us, the empanada, with the wonderful recipe of our grandmother, symbolizes the Chilean identity; preparing it is a way to connect with our traditions. The most important thing is to have fun cooking, sharing, learning the secrets of the recipe and enjoying a bit of Chile in every bite.

You local host Jorge will welcome you with a warm smile and some lovely music playing in the background - Jorge has a collection of more than 1000 vinilos! The passionate cook can also make a wide variety of traditional Chilean dishes with a modern touch. Jorge offers a hands-on experience, where you will get to cook along with him in his small kitchen. The cooking portion of the experience will last for 1 hour during which you will learn to make an appetizer and dessert. A few dishes that you might try are palta reina with tuna (tuna stuffed avocado), fresh bruschetta with Chilean canned mussels, pastel de papas (a classic dish made in Chilean homes, not always found in restaurants, similar to a shepherd’s pie) and Chilean papayas with cream.  This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about Chilean culture and cuisine from a warm and welcoming local - you're sure in for a real treat!
