Do you believe in the paranormal? Hosted by professional ghost hunter Dominique Desormeaux of Investigations 13, Haunted Montreal’s “Paranormal Investigation: Colonial Old Montreal” takes guests on a dark adventure into the mysterious world of ghost hunting. Founded in 1642, the Ville-Marie Colony has seen countless public executions, torture, wars, beheadings, people burned alive, murders, and other horrific acts. Numerous unsettled spirits were created both during the religious paranoia of the New France Era and the bureaucratic brutality of the British Regime, which took over in 1760. Guests will learn strategies and techniques to locate and communicate with spirits. Ghost-hunting tools such as Dowsing Rods, EMF Readers, Temperature Guns, and other devices will be made available to reach out to the many deranged spirits that haunt present-day Old Montreal.

If your cruise docks early or you simply enjoy starting your day ahead of the crowd, no worries we’ll be there to welcome you! Wake up with Old Québec before the city gets busy. Start in Lower Town, full of history and charm. Wander through Place Royale, where French civilization began in North America. Stroll the cobblestone streets, sneak a look into artisan shops and galleries, and check out the Fresque des Québécois, a breathtaking mural that honors our city's most important figures. Don't miss Rue du Petit-Champlain, a charming street filled with boutiques, artisans, and that special Québec atmosphere. As the funicular is not operating at this hour, guests should be comfortable walking up Côte de la Montagne to reach Upper Town. Instead of the funicular ticket, we will finish at a cozy local café, where you will enjoy a freshly brewed coffee and a relaxing Québec morning before continuing your day. A 15–20% tip for your guide is strongly recommended at the end of the visit.

In 2026, we continue our historic tour of Old Levis followed by the discovery of the Lévis Farmers’ Point of Sale. This discovery of fresh and processed products by Chaudière - Appalachian farmers began in 2025 since the Ostara Point of Sale is at the Terrasse de Lévis. These visits take place on Sunday mornings from July 5 to September 20. If you are arriving by ferry from Quebec, please notify us. Here is a different way to experience your summer weekends. We organize the same type of discovery with tasting on Saturdays in July and August 2026 at the Cap-Rouge Point of Sale in Quebec City. Our mission as an NPO is to encourage the local economy by showing places outside the city circuits. We work in the social economy because we believe that visits outside of the too well-known places allow to discover new places while encouraging local shops. Looking forward to making you discover our city!
