Vivienne Pompeii tour Vivienne was welcoming and engaging from the start. She explained carefully how she would conduct the tour, the etiquette of the archeological centre and what to expect when it got busy, which it did! It helped to understand so that navigating the site was enjoyable. Vivienne was thoughtful and brought the city to life in a way that gave context to the way that helped to understand how the citizens of Pompeii lived, the ingenuity of the ancients, including how somethings are still in use today! It was facilitating to see how over the years more and more of the city is being excavated and how it aids our knowledge. Vivienne helped to bring history to life with her fascinating insights. Highly recommended this tour, the booking app and the company. If you are lucky to get Vivienne then you are indeed in for a great tour. Marko Marko was our driver! He was waiting for us as detailed, even though he had to move slightly due to roadworks and parking restrictions. He was friendly and welcoming and it was great that he was our driver for the whole day as it felt like we were VIPs. Great booking, made the whole day seamless. Quirinoli Winery Wine tasting experience and lunch We were welcomed to the winery by Claudia and her family in the most incredible setting, sitting on the side of Mount Vesuvius. This beautiful family run winery introduced us to a fantastic selection of their wines, and a sweet melon liqueur. The quality of the wines was outstanding and really catered to different tastes and the guests at our table each had different favourites! The food that accompanied the wines was perfectly paired with a variety of locally produced foods, some from the winery. The real secret star was the honey, which was paired with the cheeses to perfection! An absolutely perfect pairing with the Pompeii tour!!

This tour was incredible. We spent the entire day with Gianluca, and he made a point to remind us that we should relax and he will figure out all of the timing details and we shouldn't worry about a thing. Claudia gave us probably one of the best tours we have ever done in her walking tour of Pompeii. She was so knowledgeable and was an absolute pleasure. Due to timing, we hit "only" two towns - and we let him choose. We did Positano and Ravello - and of course drove by the others. We didn't have any particular spaces to see in mind so we let him choose. Gianluca is from the area and grew up on the coast - so he knows every road and town very well. He picked us out a great spot for lunch and gave us time to explore at our leisure. He was always a couple of steps ahead and it was great to learn about the coast with someone who is so proud to call the area home. He has a great sense of humor, was incredibly friendly, and made sure we were comfortable and happy with our day. Prior to booking, I researched several other tours that basically do the same tour. But, the others seemed to complain that the driver wasn't friendly or informational - but Gianluca is both. He told us if we would prefer to keep it quiet, then he would not talk and let us enjoy. We wanted to hear, so we told him to talk as much as he wanted to!

This was an amazing tour with Eliana Sandretti tours! Amedeo was so informative about the city, culture and history. There is no other way to see Pompeii without a private tour and especially with the expertise of an archaeological! Amedeo was accommodating and answered all our questions. You can feel his passion for the city through his explanations and detail. Amazing and unforgettable experience!
