Pedro is the best guide!
Our ATV experience was top notch. I give credit to our guide, Pedro. He was very knowledgeable and made sure to follow all safety protocols to make sure we had an amazing time but in a safe manner. We got to see many sites and explore the different cities along Lake Atitlan. I highly recommend this tour, and if you get Pedro as your guide you are a lucky person!

Super fun
It was so much fun! Getting to ride atvs up and down a winding mountain side into smaller towns of Guatemala was awesome. Out Guid Nemi was very knowledgeable and spoke in English extremely will and with him being our guid we (my wife and I) felt extremely comfortable we didn’t feel rushed or felt uncomfortable. I would definitely book with them again! Thank you to Nemi and Simon tours for an excellent experience!

Lake Atitlan was...
Lake Atitlan was gorgeous. The photos don't do it justice. There was good food and plenty of shopping. Be ready for uphill walking. It was a long day, but so worth it if you are short on time and want to see highlights of Guatemala.

A perfect day trip! We...
A perfect day trip! We started off with a comfortable (but long!) car ride to Lake Atitlan. Upon arrival, we met our guide, David, and had breakfast with a view. He was a wonderful guide who made sure we experienced all we wanted to see. We loved San Juan and Santiago. We opted to skip San Pedro so our kids could have time swimming in the lake.
Would highly recommend this excursion. And if you go, hope you are lucky to have David as well!

A must do experience. Yes, it's a long day and a fair amount of travel but it's worth it. The lake is beautiful, and the trips to the islands situated within it, getting a sense of how people live and work, and the history of both Guatemala and its people made this a great day. Rene, our driver and Joel , our guide , were fantastic.

Edwin and Cesar were wonderful tour guides! It was a beautiful and interesting hike. I was very slow but no one made me feel rushed. This hike is HARD- lots of uphill and some rock scrambles. Despite that I found it enjoyable and rewarding. I would happily book with them again.

Two reasons why I gave...
Two reasons why I gave this a four star. In the description, it said we were going to go on a coffee tour taste coffee, see how the process is made, etc. that never happened. We stopped by a very small coffee shop to buy coffee. Also, this tour was supposed to be four hours and we got back in less than three. However, our guide was great and it was fun to visit to Mayan villages.

When to visit

The easiest way to explore the lakeside villages is by boat, and local ferries run from Panajachel to most destinations.
The only ATM is located in Panajachel, and most villages only accept local currency, so stock up before you head out.
The main transport options around Lake Atitlán are small boats and tuk-tuks, so pack light as there’s not much space for heavy luggage.
Swimming in the lake is possible at designated areas.
