Fabulous snow monkey tour with Tomio
The snow monkey tour with Tomio was awesome! We learn so much about the Nagano area and the snow monkeys. His English was great and he really customized the tour for us ... throwing in a sake brewery tasting.

It was a private tour with a great guide. Hori knew a lot about the region as well as the snow monkeys. Managed some great photos and then had an interesting walk around Obuse before a Sake tasting session. Worth the cost of the private guide as we were also interested in learning about the Nagano Prefecture and Hori was able to do this for us.

Snow Monkey and Zenko-ji Tour with Hori
Our tour guide was Hori and he was absolutely fantastic! His knowledge of the area and history behind everything was great. Our experience was so much fun. The hike was icy when we went in March so I definitely recommend having good traction shoes or spikes to go up and down the path. It is well worth the walk to see the monkeys in their natural habitat. The Zenko-ji temple was beautiful and wonderful to walk around.

A unique experience
Excellent driver and memorable experience. The snow monkeys only come down to bath in hot water here you cannot see this anywhere else in the world

Fun way to experience the highlights of Nagano in a single day
By far the best part was visiting the snow monkey park. This is one of the most fun things you can do in Japan if you’re an animal lover. Way better than an owl cafe.

A Day Amongst the Snow Monkeys
Visiting the snow monkeys and observing them in their environment, and comfort level with humans was and excellent experience. From there to the Zenkoji Temple, learning a bit about the history of it and surrounding structures really made for a wonderful experience. Nomi was a fun guide, very patient and willing to answer any questions we had, it was a very full day. Lunch was tasty, but I will say the sake tasting was a bit of a bust. Highly recommend opting in on this tour.

Fantastic experience
What a memorable experience!!! Our guide was super cool and knowledgeable about the area and about the tour. He made sure to get us to the perfect spot so we could capture amazing pictures of the snow monkeys. We never felt rushed or that we had to make small talk with our tour guide because he was so down to earth and welcoming. We highly recommend this tour and the tour guide

Amazing day tour of snow monkey park and Nagano
We had the best day ever with Hori seeing the snow monkeys, Obuse town and the famous temple in Nagano. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and adaptable to make sure all of our needs were met. The sites were fascinating, and this was one of the best days of our time in Japan. We highly recommend this tour and our guide.
